I think car count will depend on what the payout is....How they distribute the money..If its all loaded to first place and not much further down car count will be low...

All I've heard/read all summer is the payout for the top 3 positions in this race. 1st) 10,000 2nd) 5,000 3rd) 2,500 4th place on down - nothing mentioned anywhere, including the internet or the track's webpage.

Ian ended up taking home the 10,000 with Dobs taking 5000 and TMAC with the 2500.

I heard there was some controversy on the restart with 3 laps to go. How bad did Madsen jump the start?

Took off in the middle of turn three. My opinion, he jumped and it should have been called back. But, since my opinion don't matter, he's a genius for getting away with it. But, it will open up a whole new can of worms next year. Racers have this nasty little habit of remembering this type of stuff.

I agree that the start should have been a do over. Don't know if it would have changed the finishing order or not.
Quite the way to end the season @ Huset's, but I'm not surprised. From the opening night's lousy track conditions. The Huset's hostage crisis when Tony Stewart was here w/the World of Outlaws. Doug Clark only flagging about 2/3 of the season (something obviously happened for him not to finish out the season) & finally last night debacle on the finish of the Outlaw sprint car feature. (I'm surprised a riot did not take place on the front straightaway).

The leader Madsen went when the green flag came out and Dobmeier didnt. After the race the two drivers behind him on the track at the restart both said he just didnt go when the green came out. Dobmeier stacked up the field and almost got ran over by McCarl coming to the cone. The best part was the temper tantrum Dobmeier threw after the race. He almost hit an official with his car when he stopped at the opening on the inside of the front stretch wall, then he shoved another official.

Perhaps you did not see McCarl slide to a stop in front of Madsen's car and proceed to throw in his 0.39 cents worth of opinion at the officials, as well. He was just as animated as Dobmeier.
Perhaps the only soltion is well, it's two fold...................one is paint a line on the wall and say you can go after you reach that line or a double chalk line and the leader goes when in the box.

I don't think the Green was out when Madsen took off!! Dobmeier may not have went as he felt Madsen jumped, but the green definitely was NOT out when Madsen went in 3......Either way, its done, and in my opinion Madsen is the smart one for taking the chance of jumping and getting away with it so to speak. Dobs throwing the fit did nothing for him, I just don't understand why everyone doesn't hate on him like they do McCarl there when he does those types of things. TMac went over and shook Ian's hand so he must not have been too upset with the finish.

Dobmeier did shake Ian's hand, too. Then he continued with his rant at the officials. And, after shaking Ian's hand, McCarl let loose on the officials. It's not Ian's fault the officials let it go.

Doug Clark hurt his foot. He has been sitting in the stands in a boot and crutches.

I was watching the flagman and when he waved the flag, Madsen took off....end of story. Racers are told to go as soon as they see the flag. Dob's was just mad he didn't get a chance to throw a hail mary and trash another car. Dob's shoved an offical but evidently that must be OK??????
