The Velocity Motorsports team visited the Hanford Speedway for the 8th time this year. Rolling out of the box Myles Bishop felt as if the car was fast and he looked just as fast. When time trails came around the VMS team found there selfs in unfamiliar grounds with a 11th quick time. But it would put Myles on the pole of the first heat race. The VMS crew of Steve Bishop, Matt Durica, Kory Miller, and Kent Miller knew they hard to make some changes. And make some changes they did from changing bars to stagger. They worked on the car tell the last second. And it would be worth it cause on the start Myles would take off like he was shot out of a cannon. But a caution on lap five would bunch the field back up. On the restart Richard Harvey JR was all over Myles rear bumper. Myles and Harvey battled for the rest of the race. Then on the last lap and the last turn Harvey would put a slide-job on Bishop but Bishop would motor right back by him on the bottom and win the heat race. Myles and the VMS crew were surprised when the got called up for the dash. The VMS crew went back to work again making some more changes. With Myles starting on the pole the VMS team had a good chance. On the start Myles and young Justin Hamblin would battle into turn one and two with Justin coming up with the number one spot out of two. Myles would try and dive in on her in three and four but got to crossed up and loss ed some spots. Myles would battle back and finish in the number three spot. That would put him second row inside for the 50 lap main. The VMS crew would go right back to work changing almost everything on the car. On the start of the main the car was a little tight but as the night went on the car was a rocket. Battling with a number of good drivers all race long. But on lap 30 Myles would get together with Jeff Gardner and bring out the yellow. One the restart Myles would start 8th cause Peter Murphy lapped everyone but the top eight. The field would restart but to have another yellow with the dash winner Justin Hamblin stopped in turn four. On the next restart Myles entered a little high and the car started to come around. With no where to go Justin would run into Myles ending both of there nights. Myles Bishop and the CV Fabricators, Escalon Body and frame, MACLAC paint, D&D Roofing, Stud Welding Products, Pacific Bolt number 7 would end up finishing in the 12th spot.
This next weekend the VMS team will go back to Santa Maria for the Grand Slam race.
