FINAL WEEK for TMS USNDTC EARLY Registration; Ends 9/6!
Ft. Worth TX (9/3/2013) by DarinShort.com. This is the final week for Modified and Limited Modified teams to take advantage of the discounted registration and provisional starter drawings for the 2013 Port-A-Cool® U.S. National Dirt Track Championship (USNDTC) at Texas Motor Speedway's Dirt Track. The event is just around the corner and will be held September 19th through the 21st.
By clicking http://www.darinshort.com/dtc.html all competing race teams can take advantage of this online registration convenience and view the event site. Complete event detail, purse and rules are also posted there. Only 'early entered' Modified and Limited Modified teams will be eligible for the provisional starter drawings. All reserved paved pit spaces are sold out, but there is plenty of parking in the grassy lot adjoining the paved pit area.
The Modifieds and Limited Modifieds will compete in qualifying races Friday September 20th and their last chance qualifiers and championship feature events will be contested on September 21st. The Modifieds will be racing for $3,000 to win and $750 to start, while the Limited Modifieds will have a winner’s check of $2,000 awaiting them with $400 to start.
The Winged Sprint Cars of the Lucas Oil ASCS Sprint Car Dirt Series will race on September 21st, and fans can expect a great field of drivers including 2012 USNDTC winner Jason Johnson, Johnny Herrera, Brad Loyet, Tony Bruce Jr., Danny Wood, Seth Bergman, Dustin Morgan, Logan Forler, Jeff Swindell, Dustin Morgan, Cole Wood, Brandon Hahn and many more from throughout the region. 42 Sprint Car teams competed in the 2012 event.
As previously announced, there are unique twists to this year’s event:
The Modified and Limited Modified championship feature events will each start 3-wide! Each Modified and Limited Modified event will be started and restarted at the chalk line in corner four. Single file restarts have been replaced with the popular ‘Delaware’ style, which has the lead car out front and the rest of the restarting field double-file behind. All starts and restarts will be side-by-side, nose-to-tail and no fanning out…so drivers will get a fair start/restart.
In addition, there will be an auction held in the pit area prior to each of the Modified and Limited Modified championship feature events, with the highest bidding driver starting in the final position.
The traditional practice night will be held on Thursday, September 19th, with the following addition: there will be a Pit Party following the practice (at 10pm) for all of the teams in attendance!
Event sponsor Port-A-Cool offers a 'cool' bonus to each of the three U.S. National Dirt Track Championship winners: The Sprint Car, Modified and Limited Modified A-feature winners on Saturday September 21st will receive a Port-A-Cool Cyclone 3000™ - a value of $849 each! The Port-A-Cool Cyclone 3000 centrifugal air delivery system provides 700 square feet of temperature cooling, in a portable and small footprint design.
