LoneStar SUPR Labor Day 40 – Saturday, August 31st

Kilgore TX (8/20/13) by DarinShort.com. The ever popular SUPR Late Model series returns to the 3/8 mile high-banks of LoneStar Speedway in Kilgore, on Saturday August 31st with the 4th running of the Labor Day 40.

Fans can expect another standout field of SUPR Late Model drivers, such as points’ leader Rob Litton; Tyler Erb, Zach McMillan, Kevin Sitton, Shane Hebert, Robbie Stuart, Mikey Kile, Brandon Hightower, Robbie Starnes, Jim Bryant plus many more of the regions’ top teams.

Plus, all three LSS points divisions will be in action, which include $1,000 to win Modifieds, $500 to win for the Limited Modifieds and $300 to win for the Factory Stocks. Complete purse breakdown and rules are posted at the track website.

Track owners Sam and Lisa Hafertepe are offering the Modified division no entry fee for this race. Sam comments: “We’ve had such strong support at the race track this season, and the weather has helped as well, so we’re going to nix the Modified entry fee once again to the August 31st event, while still paying $1,000 to win and $100 to start.”

This is also the final LoneStar race for the Modifieds, Limited Modifieds and Factory Stocks before the $10,000 to win Armadillo Nationals on September 26th-28th. Visit www.darinshort.com/arm.html for complete Armadillo Nationals event information and registration.

Although the August 31st event is the last full points race for the three LoneStar points divisions, all teams that participate in at least one night of the Armadillo Nationals will receive 10 show-up points.

The final 2013 LoneStar points championship, which pays out $10,000 cash to drivers in the three points divisions, will be tabulated after the show up points are applied to those drivers competing at the Armadillo Nationals. Participating drivers will receive 10 points for the weekend, regardless of their finishing positions.
