1st off--I'm a fan of Tony--but found this kind of ironic. In March he said that Joey Logano was "a little rich kid that never had to work for anything in his life"
Then he puts Austin Dillon in his car. ? Come on man!

Saying stupid with cowboy hat is being redundant.

How many of you think Childeress cars will do good starting next season? RCR got rid of two good drivers (Boywer and Harvick) to put the two grandsons in, and kept their oldtimer driver that will never win a race again (#31). Look for EGR and RCR to swap roles with EGR puting two good drivers in the 1 & 42 and the Dillions going in the RCR cars (3&33).

Anybody hearing any more on Larson getting the 42 ride next year? I see from the OP that one big name (Kurt Busch) is off the market, pretty much leaving Ryan Newman as a possible name for the 42. My name says who I'm pulling for that ride. Kyle has done well in everything he's jumped in, so I can't see why he couldn't tackle the cup cars and run for ROY in 2014.
Highside - I didn't know RCR signed the two boys for his cars but makes sense I guess for him. Will the 3 be all black?

I would guess the 3 car will be black, but don't know for sure. I am disappointed that there is a good chance that Larson will be in the 42 car. I don't think that is the car I would want to be in going to Cup. I don't like Juan but i think he would have won a lot more races if he were at Hendrick, Rousch or RCR. Talking about a guy who won 7 F1 races (if my memory serves me correctly) and was still in the prime of his career going to Cup. I think Larson will get Chip back to victory lane, but he won't have quite the equipment that the other guys will have. JMO

If you guys hear Ryan Newman or Kurt Busch is in the 42, don't worry about Kyle. McMurray's contract is up at the end of the season, and was told the same thing as Montoya. "Miss the chase and your out of a ride". If Larson is not in the #42...he will be in the #1 next year.

Since when is Nascar about talent and racing anymore? Its all about the $$$$$$. I am a big Stewart race fan but when it comes to his business decisions I am not a fan. As far as the Dillion decision I kind of saw that since Bass Pro Shops also funds RCR's truck program and is an assoicate for the Nationwide car. Lets face it, when you're and owner in Nascar you will do anything to get money to fund your car. Case in point: Danica.

I do not have a copy of Larson or Dillon bank account statement. If you do let us all know.

I must've missed the one about Kurt Busch, didn't know he had been signed by anyone. Only thing I'd seen is that Kevin Harvick is taking Newman's spot at SHR in 2014. I think the Dillons have a deal with the cowboy hat manufacturer, like a lot of the other guys have with sunglasses..."when you're on TV, wear our product and we'll give you $$$."

I still don't get the hatred for Dillon. This kid is being blasted because his grandfather is rich? Sounds like a lot of jealousy to me. I said it in another thread, Austin has won a truck championship and is on his way to winning a Nationwide championship. He has won on dirt in a truck, on dirt in a late model. Money doesn't buy talent and this kid has talent. Even if Bass Pro Shops was a force behind making the call it's not like he's been running 9th in K&N East races all year. He's the best of the up and coming group right now, even better than Larson in a stock car. If I remember right, he drove by Laron to win at Eldora. Larson might end up being the greatest thing since AJ Foyt, but he's not better than Austin Dillon in a stock car at this point in his career. Facts don't lie.

Agree 100%. Austin Dillon is a proven winner. I don’t know much of his career before. I know he raced dirt late models but I don’t know how successful he was. But I’ve watched his truck and nationwide career. He is always a contender and has the talent and other skills it takes to be a successful NASCAR driver. Has he benefitted from his grandfather’s money and resources? Yes he has. But in this day the stories of fathers mortgaging their houses and spending their life savings so their son can try and make it in racing are few and far between. It’s a rich man’s game and it takes money to make it in racing these days. I have no idea what his family is like but I’ve heard before that Larson either comes from money or has relationships with people who have money. That’s not to take anything away from him either. He is a great talent and I love watching him. IMO any race team looking for an up and coming drive would be lucky to have either Dillon or Larson. I just don’t understand why people take credit away from Dillon. He was afforded opportunities most aren’t but he has made the most of them so far and has been successful. Do you want him to apologize for his grandfather being RC?
To the cowboy hat comments: Why do you care what hat he wears? Maybe people think you dress or look stupid…but that doesn’t have a damn thing to do with driving a race car.

I'm probably one of the biggest Larson fans there are. I've seen him do amazing things . But I do believe dillon whooped him in the trucks on dirt this year. Larson will be in the 42 or the 1 next year and I hope Newman is his teamie.
We need more sprint car racing at our home track.

With Stewart, Harvick, Kurt Busch, and Danica on the same team one can only assume Prozac is coming on board as a consulting sponsor. Man thats a line up of imbalanced brain chemistry
