We are gearing up for the 35th Jackson Nationals this year on Friday August 30 and Saturday August 31.

Sanctioned by the ASCS National Series and the JSTS, we are expecting a field of 40+ sprinters to battle for a total purse that has reached an estimated $50,000 depending upon field size.  The purse breakdown will be available at Jacksonspeedway.com

2 Unique races that are part of the program are on Friday, the first annual Loren Woodke Challenge Cup.  This is an invitation only race that will pit the top 2 in points from Jackson Speedway, Knoxville Raceway, ASCS National Tour and ASCS Midwest in a 12 lap dash for $1,500 to win and $300 to start.

The Friday A main, which locks the top 4 into the Jackson Nationals Championship, pays $3,000 to win and $400 to start

On Saturday, the first annual Dick Valentine memorial race will e held.  The event will be for top top Non A-Main Qualifiers, and will pay money above the $150 tow money.  The Saturday Jackson Nationals Championship will pay $4,000 to win and $400 to start.

The Minnesota Mafia will be in full force supporting the event.  They are contributing to the Dick Valentine memorial as well as helping out to put together hard charger and tough luck awards.

There is a special $40 2-day advance purchase only ticket for sale at: http://www.tempotickets.com/tempotickets/site/pages/listing.php?c=243  The tickets will also be for sale at the track and it town, but only until Thursday Aug 29.

There is a good chance that one of the bars in Jackson will be hosting an Iowa Hawkeye viewing party on Saturday for all the black and gold faithful.

A lot of great information is also at www.jacksonspeedway.com and www.pilotracewaynews.com

Hey A,,,,   Quick question for ya on the rules since it is sanctioned by both the ASCS and JSTS groups.  Can a JSTS and weekly Jackson legal engine run or does it have to have the ASCS heads?

Look for a RacinBoys announcement concerning the 35th Annual Jackson Nationals on tonight's Lucas Oil ASCS broadcast from Salina Highbanks Speedway.
