Midwest Fall Brawl includes $20,000 bonus!

The Midwest Fall Brawl just took a jump to the next level with the addition of the “Double Down....Back to Back Challenge.” Thanks to Durst Motorplex and Zoz Farms sponsors of the Double Down there is a huge bonus if a Sprint Car driver can win the features on September 20 & 21. The bonus, a cool $20,000.

Add that to the $2,500 each feature pays to win, $750 each night for the Searsboro Telephone Hard Charger and another $1,000 for the Hotrod Paintless Dent Repair King of the Hill and one driver could leave I-80 $27,500 richer. Now that is some serious money and that doesn't count the Electrical Systems Podium Draw for $300 each night!

Last year's Midwest Fall Brawl saw both feature events go green-white-checker on a lightning fast track with Jason Johnson and Jack Dover picking up the wins. This year's Second Annual Midwest Fall Brawl sponsored by the Home Pride Companies should be no different.

Racing along with the ASCS Midwest Sprint Cars on Friday, September 20 will be unsanctioned A Mods for $1,000 to win and unsanctioned Grand Nationals for $500 to win. Hotrod Paintless Dent Repair is also paying $250 to the A Mod Hard Charger and Pro Tech Electrical Systems is having a $250 A Mod Podium Draw. In addition, I-80 Speedway and Adams County Speedway has a $1,100 point fund for A Mods for I-80 on September 20 and Adams County on September 21.

On Saturday, September 21 the SLMR series and the GOTRA series will be racing with the ASCS Midwest Sprint Cars. Hotrod Paintless Dent Repair will be paying a $250 Hard Charge Award to the SLMR series and Pro Tech Electrical Systems is having a $250 Podium Draw for the SLMR series.

Tickets for the event are $20 for Adults each night, $5 for Juniors (6-12) with 5 and under free as always. Or you can get a two-day ticket for just $25 but there will be refunds only if both nights are rained out. If one show gets completed and the other show rained out, there will be NO refunds. Call (402)-342-3453 and order your tickets today.

Pit gates open both nights at 4:00 pm, with the Grandstands opening at 5:30 pm and racing at 7:15 pm. I-80 Speedway is located one block north of Interstate 80 Exit #420, halfway between Lincoln and Omaha. For more information, visit www.I-80speedway.com or call (402)-342-3453.

Two day passes can also be purchased at the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame. 5 dollars of each ticket purchase will be donated back to the Hall of Fame. This could be the biggest payday in Nebraska racing history. I could be wrong, but I don`t know of any other race that has taken place in Nebraska that has had a pontential to pay this kind of money. Someone correct me if I`m wrong. Don`t miss this one!!!! There should be some big ol doggies in the house!!!

I would be willing to put my mortgage on this......I wouldnt be shy to say we end up with 40-50 or more cars for this event. We are going to have the ASCS Midwest Series, the Nebraska 360 series, probably see some NCRA guys make the trek, Knoxville 360 drivers along with 410 drivers that will drop a 360 in for this show (especially since their season will be over), probably some WOW drivers out of Missouri, etc. With that being said and I know I probably missed a few, how couldn't we have at least 45 cars for this event?

Agreed. Biggest sprint car race in Nebraska this year by far.

I really like what I-80 does to try and make sure the FANS get their money`s worth. Yeah it might cost me a extra 5 bucks to get in (gas 3.59 x 240 miles) but its always worth the trip! Thanks I-80 for making the extra effort to ensure I have a good time!! I wish other tracks/promoters would pay more attention to how you folks do it. Some places will have a good sprint show lined up but then they throw in some outlaw hornets and hobby stocks for support groups and that crap gets old with me. So charge a extra 5 and put on a show for the fans----OBTW arent we the ones who pay the bills.

Just informed by Joe Kosiski today that even if 2 Day Saver Passes are purchased through I-80 Speedway, he will "STILL" give the 20% back to The National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum.

Thanks to Joe Kosiski for giving back to sprint car racing. Other promoters are only in it for themselves. Joe is setting a great example by giving back to sprint car racing. It is greatly appricated!!!

This could be a very interesting show as the ASCS Nationals guys will be racing in Texas that weekend. Should have some really good 360 teams in the Midwest that decide to stay and run the Midwest Fall Brawl II instead of traveling all the way to Texas. Maybe we can sick Ibracin on the prowl to see what teams plan on running at I-80

There are only approximately (3) weeks left to get your two day pass for $25. Single day tickets are $20 each so dont let this bargain slip your busy little minds.

There are 4 different ways you can get your $25 Two Day Saver Pass.

1. You can stop in at The Nationals Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum in Knoxville, IA

2. You can call your order into The National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum by calling 1-800-874-4488.

3. You can stop in at the I-80 Speedway office at 5040 "I" Street in Omaha, NE

4. You can call your order into I-80 Speedway by calling (402)-342-3453

Remember, I-80 Speedway is donating 20% of ALL 2 Day Saver Passes to The National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum. I think we should all give a big shout out to Joe Kosiski of I-80 Speedway for this genereous donation.

Tour of Museum of American Speed & Midwest Fall Brawl

The Smith Collection Museum of American Speed is one of the hidden gems of American Motorsports. The collection put together by Speedy Bill Smith and his late wife Joyce is unbelievable. It's a celebration of man's quest for speed and contains a wide variety of displays including;

The museum is home to thousands of books, magazines, newspapers and photos that capture man's fascination with racing and speed. There is a wonderful collection of movie posters, car plaques, and artwork.

The collection of racing and street rod automobiles is amazing and the time, effort and money put into restoring these vehicles is unmeasurable. Then there is the toy collection, a fantastic display of automotive toys & games.

The museum is also home to the Nebraska Auto Racing Hall of Fame, the Big Car Racing Association Hall of Fame and the Model T Ford Club of America Hall of Fame. The bottom line is, you have to see it to believe it!

In conjunction with the Midwest Fall Brawl, I-80 Speedway is coordinating with the Museum of American Speed to make tours available at the museum on Friday, September 20 at 2 pm. To help the museum plan for how many individuals will be attending that day, interested individuals should call Lee at (402)-342-3453 and sign up. The price of the tour is $10 and anyone wishing to attend should be at the museum by 1:50 pm. Also while you are talking to Lee don't forget to order your tickets for the Midwest Fall Brawl.

The Museum of American Speed is located at 599 Oakcreek Drive in Lincoln adjacent to Speedway Motors. For more information, visit www.museumofamericanspeed.com.

Speedy Bills museum is an absolte must see and should be on everyones "Bucket List". I was fortunate enough to go through it two years ago, my only problem with it is there is not enough time in one day to thoroughly appreciate EVERYTHING they have on display. If you are attending theMidwest Fall Brawl II, I would suggest you leave a little early so that you can check this off your "Bucket List"
