What are my chances of getting tickets to the 360 nationals on a short notice. I am not even sure I can go, just checking on my chances. Are there usually individuals trying to sale tickets outside the gates? How about the 410's?

you should be able to just go to ticket stand day of the race and get good seats
the big crowd will be the next week for the nationals

Unfortunatly, there will be thousands of empty seats for one of the best races of the year.

You should be able to get tickets to both of them on the day of the race. I'm not sure if you can get them at the box office for the 410's but I would try that first. Otherwise there is always scalpers at the front gate. Remember to negotiate!

Never been a problem for tickets for the 360's or the 410's. With the 410's the back straight is open for Nationals and you can usually get something. Of course, there is always the scalpers but the best thing is to try the ticket office the day of the race or the day before and you should be able to get something you like.
My wife told me if I went to one more Sprint Car race
she would leave me.................I'm sure gonna miss
that ol' gal.

360's will be easy and a damn good weekend of racing. 410's why pay a scalper when the pits put you in the action (just stay out of the way)

Thought you usually cant get into the pits unless you are with a team during the nationals.

The 360's are what interests me too. I'm from SW KS so 360's are primarily what I watch. 11X Garry Lee Maier fan. Hopefully he can have a good week.

I think Wright One is correct, but it has been several years since I was at the Nationals. I thought so many from each team were allowed to purchase discounted pit passes each night, but I don't remember exactly how that worked anymore.

me and my pop have been to every 360 nationals since 2000. The race used to be held on fathers day weekend in June. They woul dhave about 90 cars and only about 3k people. Since the race has been moved to kick off southern Iowa Sprintweek the car count has risen to ......I think it was 137 last year....and there were at least 10k there on sat. night.
I can't imagine there is THAT MUCH difference in the quality of racing between both nationals. We love it because you see what I really think is THE BEST race of the year........and do not have to deal with as many people as the next weekend. The only race that maybe could rival it is the Short Track Nationals in Little Rock.....but I'll have to wait until October to be able to comment on that. What makes the 360 nationals even better I think is that on saturday they can only take the top 106 in points to run features, because they run a weekly 410 show that night......so you have about 160 sprints on that 1 night alone.........last I checked the 410 Nationals didn't boast that. But I imagine the atmosphere is more in every way for the 410's. But whereas it's great to see the best sprint drivers in the world.......man it's just as good to see the best 360 drivers in the world.......and like I said......not have to deal with people. After going to the Chili Bowl this year for the 1st time.....I'm still burned out from squished in on all sides.....and many around us left because of the ice storm.
I don't care what agendas people have.......the racing for the 360 nationals is just as good as the 410. Hawker again shows his smarts (no doubt gained by being from the sooner state....lol) he's right. I'd guarantee it's one of the top 5 sprint races of the year. IMO along with the 410 Nationals, the Gold Cup, Short Track Nationals, and everyone else could pick the 5th (I wonder how many would choose eldora THESE DAYS). If you want a good idea on where to sit man......shoot me an e-mail @ [email protected] and I'll shoot one back and tell ya what I'm talkin about.
BTW those top 5 races I'm talkin about are for WINGED sprints. Again......IMO.......non-wing racing is still wayyyyy better and more exciting.
Bronco......you go to the Kansas Midget Klassic in Dodge?.......me and my pop are still kickin ourselves for staying here for the crappy ASCS Speedweek races (crappy more because of the promoter than ascs)....instead of coming up there for 2 days of open wheel heaven.
How much would could a wouldchuck chuck if a

I've been stuck working down on the gulf all week. I missed everything. They say the midgets put on a hell of a show each night though. Sounds like some good racing with the 360's tonight. Jason Johnson showed up and took 6th. Bud Kaeding won both nights. Garry Lee got tangled up after 2 laps when the car in front of him hit the wall. He had to be towed off on the hook. Not sure who hit the wall. 75 car out of North Carolina won the midgets both nights. Don Droud Jr. won the non-wings.
