Tasker had a hard crash after driving over the right rear of another car. Watch the fuel cell.

simply amazing how much stuff that kid can tear up, racing cannot be fun with that much carnage night in and night out.. hope he gets smoother soon.

Yup, definitely as nasty as I remember it. Very lucky all the passing cars missed him. I'm guessing Danny Smith (the white car that just misses him) needed a new pair of shorts after that...

Although Tasker has tore up some equipment in the past this one was not his fault. He did not run over a tire, the draglink broke which dug in the track which is what caused the car to catapult in the air and smack the wall. You could see the trench in the track after it happened. So lets not be so hard on him and just lucky hes ok after that one!

Personaly i don't see a drang link catapulting a car like that, its force would be toward the center of car (steering gear). Kinsers car looks to move a bit as Tasker goes in the air, the "trech" is most likely from the rear bumper dragging.

there should be a strap located on the drag link to avoid the arm from hitting the track, regardless without either end of the draglink the steering is nill, i believe he turned sharply before hitting the wall, (after the front tires hit the ground), if the drag link was damaged I would be willing to guess that was after climbing someones RR? was this the same car that suffered his pace lap carnage the night before? , just seems he always finds trouble. I dont wish it on him nor am I being rued, these cars are expensive , Just maybe not that expensive to some? Just hope he improves before getting seriously hurt.

Sure looked to me like his front wheels ran up on Kraig's rear wheels, causing a massive wheelstand, digging the rear bumper in to the surface. Sure am glad nobody clobbered him as the roll cage laid on it's side. Good job Danny Smith.

I believe they said over the PA that Cole Wood's car had a lot of right rear suspension damage including the Jacobs Ladder.

Hope tasker learns how to control his car a little better as he gets more experience under his belt. He's gotten noticably faster this year but still goes through equipment more than probably anybody else at Knoxville.

Drag link is still connected to the combo arm (located on LF) the link is black, otherwise the link would have just dragged across the track on the (laggin) part of motion (pitman arm side) the trench you see in the track is because all four wheels were off the ground causing the rear bumper to "plant the corn so to speek", glad he was ok and the abrubt responce from fellow competitors, agreed he has shown some improvement in speed this season as for the Knox safety crew, again the best in the Biz! just hope the 7 taz doesnt wear them out..

dirtdevil is right. There isn't a chance in the world a dropped drag link would cause a car to go wheels up like that. If anything, it digs in with the forward motion and pole vaults the car ass over teakettle.

Don't want to sound like I'm bashing. But I go to Knoxville three or four times a year for the weekly shows, and I must admit that I have never seen Tasker finish a race. If he made it through the heat he crashed in the feature. Some I'm sure were not his fault, but man that is a lot of equipment.
