I think SAMMY is just plane upset that almost nothing has gone right this year.  Sammy is a very smart person, but nothing seems to help.  I think it was out of flustration and Sammy has forgot it today.  I also saw nothing between him and Larsons car.

Whatever the cause is it's definitely not Sammy. DEFINITELY not. It can't be. Whatever the cause is he is still #stillnotwinning.

Still not winning??? He's the second most successful sprint car driver in history and he's done it for over 30 years. I don't think "still not winning" is accurate!

I think he thought he could whip up on Larson. Thought better of it, once he seen Rico step around the tool box.

Kyle may have blocked sammy slightly when he passed him back in the B main event, hard to tell in the video, but Sammy has done that 1000's of times im sure. Also, Kevin did way worse to Kyle on sat night, and im sure Sammy thought nothing of it. Sammy is such a cry baby, especially in his older age.

I could make the arguement that I'm the second most successful clerk in my office over the past 25 years.  Now that I'm almost 62 it's harder to keep up with the younger people to the point where my former success if you want to call it that is but a memory.  Retirement and the recliner look better all the time and I sit on my ass all day so I can only imagine what it would be like criss crossing the country in 100 degree heat at my age.  I have never driven a Sprint Car so I can't really weigh in on that but there's a guy I know up here in Minnesota by the name of Roger Rager.  He was very good well into his 50's and won a lot of 360 races up in our neck of the woods but he knew when it was time to walk away from it.

Drivers generally go one of two directions towards the end of their careers.  Their skills slowly fade and the look around and realize they're running in the back of the pack so they step down.  The other scenario is that their hand eye coordination and reflexes fade but they keep pushing until something bad happens.  There is an end of the road for everybody regardless of our past accomplishments.  I just hope that our active living legends know when to bow out gracefully.  I'm a big fan of anybody who can strap into a Sprinter and keep doing it beyond the AARP age of 55.  wink

30 years ago I was the Country Club's Men Champion, was for 7 consecutive years.  Today, in my 60's I cannot even be competetive in the C flight.  Life is not what you were, but what you are.  Age catches us, puts a slide job on us, and life goes on.

The #StillNotWinning phrase is a spinoff on twitter. All during the Chili Bowl everytime one of the Swindells one a race Kevin always tweeted #Swinning So to all us Sammy "haters" we call it #StillNotWinning. All its been this year for Sammy is #StillWhyning. Im sure i'll get bashed for saying all that but o well.  I like Kevin & Jeff

I think the kid blocked him, and knew what he did cause he never lifted as he flew to the top of 3.  I don't think Sammy lifted much either, as he chased him up the hill in 3.   I don't think he missed clipping Sammy by just a few inches, at speed going into 3.  But, thats why Wed & Thurs are the best days of the Nationals.

Looks to me like some of last year's winners got the Hoosiers figured-out and some don't.
