To BRR, 500 feet, huh nothing to do with me. As for the 12 races a year, I will hit about half that many this year and still know 10 times more about what happens in the sport this year than you do, smoke that one. A thousand races the last decade is a number you won't hit in the rest of your lifetime, get over it.
Single, Fred's record is still less than 50% making the A-Main there and let's not forget the wins were against split fields and were handed to him thanks to mechanical breaks by the leaders both times (TK and Steve the first year and Lance the second). By the way, after those wins and the year before as well he has gone backwards in the shuffle and A-Main each time, yikes. I only use him as an example because he has been the most successful Posse driver the last decade or more.
Hawker, Keith was full-time on the Outlaw tour back then, albeit with not much success and the Cricket was also full-time and is from New York, get out your map.
Once again there is a bottom line and it's simple to all but the apologists, excuse makers and spin doctors. The Posse beat the Outlaws occasionally at ONE track in the country, get their butts handed to them at virtually ALL other Posse tracks and are brutal on the road when they dare venture off the porch. I looked up a stat from Bill W a while back, the Lincoln number he used was Outlaws 28 Posse 4. There is no debate, there is only wishful thinking by a few morons and a not so bright mid-westerner who probably spends hours trying to come up with something that won't fly anyway, I pity you all, lol. Have a great weekend, horse racing and a golf tournament in mine, enjoy the dust and stay safe. Take It Easy.....

once again the angry self appointed expert calls on that "someone once said" rather than serving up real numbers as 71fan delivered.
self aggrandizement thru attending races: we have had over 75 races in this area every year for decades and some of us did not wait until mid life crisis to start being a race fan. i went to several hundred races before i graduated high school, and this was all before the circus was even invented. just one of the perks of living in a hotbed of racing. sorry you have to wear a chip on your sholder for getting such a late start and have to keep reminding us, but here in our area, going to the races is a GIVEN and not a notch on a retired belt.
no wonder you fall out of favor with racefans after a sermon or two. working around all that horseshit may have gone to your head, hopefully things go better for you at the movies.

The WoO guys you are referring to as getting circles run around them - some are ASCS guys who at least got up off the porch to try to be great drivers - NATIONALLY ----not LOCALLY. Your drivers up there get spanked whenever they leave your state........while you posse fans talk a bunch of crap from the PORCH as well. Funny I agree with you about car owners. But why do you and the rest of PA punks talk as if the level of competition somehow makes you -as fans- better than the rest of the fans around the country. That perspective alone makes you much much worse. I still don't dispute ya'll have great racing. But ya'll trump this crap about how you kick outlaw ass........only to be the shut the hell up when the outlaws come to town. Unlike ya'll........people in parts unknown are enjoying their outlaw shows because they don't talk as much crap as ya'll do. If a local wins they don't take that as expectation for further events. They enjoy it for what it is and can't wait for the next competitive show. Unlike posse fans........fans from "parts unknown" seeing great racing is a lot more important than whether or not their local "finishes 15th".
OUTLAW DRIVERS RACE AGAINST THE BEST OF THE BEST NATIONWIDE...........NOT IN ONE LOCAL REGION. No matter how good your locals are........they still don't run nationwide do they? Funny how they choose to be the best in one small area as opposed to striving to be the best in the nation.........................textbook cherrypickers. or......at least until the outlaws come to town.
I wonder what is in the water up there that makes some so naive? :buuuuuurp:

Let me know when the Knoxville locals are finally able to beat the Outlaws at home... or better yet the Posse!

I was going to the races before you were born, stupid and we've already talked about that. How pathetic of you to resort to the lies again, dang is your nose clean today, lol? This is great fun watching you squirm when dealt with the real facts which can't be denied nor spun, get it? As to the 75 races this year, man that must be great watching the same 30 cars weak after weak, no wonder you get so excited when the big dogs come into town. Maybe next time they will even prep a track for them to run on or will they try to leave it lousy for another Posse win? Take It Easy....
PS The Posse fan also needs to know that the local with the BEST EVER record against the World of Outlaws is NOT from the porch! It is none other than Kerry Madsen who won the first two ever W of O sanctioned shows at PCR his original stompin' grounds and also had a 2nd and 4th if my fading memory is correct. I am not sure but I think he has some other podium finishes there as well, not too shabby for a local boy who has had success OFF the porch as well....

Gasitup- Let me clear the air for ya. Paulus will never be considered Posse by the local contingent since he bashed the fans when he said he doesnt sell enough t-shirts when he goes back home. He still gets booed for that, go figure.
MSPN- I'm still trying to figure out in these 141 posts where anyone said the Posse were better then the Outlaws. I thought we were arguing the Posse has the best locals that compete against said Outlaws. I dont think you can argue that at all despite your beef with Mark.
Speaking of asses, anybody can post a picture that shows what they think of our fanbase but actions speaking louder then words. I mean how many of us would give out an award to the BeerHill Gang, and then proceed to bash the track calling it the Worlds Slowest Half Mile. Bet Lucas felt grateful in accepting that award, and that my friends is a true story. Nothing but class out there in Iowa, NOT! Go Brian!

That award was voted on by two people, Duane and I and it was well deserved. If a joke, which is the truth can't be taken properly by the fans that regularly attend the place, awwwwwwwwww. How slow was it last week, lol? I merely bring up the facts about all the other places the Posse challenge the Outlaws because a few idiots actually believe the locals are better than the Outlaws. NOBODY has ever said the Posse locals weren't the best but I think the CA locals are more successful and better racers, they just happen to be on tour or temporarily semi-parked, this is up for debate but not the facts Clint. So Hawker walks into the Dog House and orders 12 Martinis...
His favorite six-fingered, banjo pickin' beertender asks him what he's a celebrating.
Hawker sez, "My first blow job!". Bubba sez, "In that case let me buy you lucky number 13!!!"
Hawker sez, "No thanks Bubba, ifin 12 can't get the taste outta my mouth, 13 never will."
Hosebag Nozzle...

Shut up! You mean to tell me...
The PA possies aren't privy to the new, D/RD/SC/F 10-55 D/O/F self-inflating; self-adjusting; variable compound; fully adjustable tread patterned Hoosiers that the rest of the WoO regulars run?

im surprized no one has said about Allen, Opp, or Weld at the Nations, or Krietz at the kings. but, im a Pa boy. the "best sprint car drivers in the country" are not the Posse or the Outlaws. they race "winged" 410 sprint cars. USAC and CRA have the best 410 sprint car drivers. on the posse vs woo, i hope it keeps up, i mean there's always that different feeling in the air when the woo come to town. my question is, how do the stats look back in the old big block days? i think it might be interesting, plus i love learning about the history of the sport.

yes, you two are a joke...that episode solidified it. thanks for the clarification.
last weeks speeds were 133-136 mph entering T3 in hotlaps (51, 11, 35, 71) and 122-128 in qualifying...same speeds that were measured at Eldora the weak before...i think you said you were at the movies?
$30 wheel + $70 radar gun = best buy bargain to end a decade of happy horse$hit, sorry about your luck
watching FOAW Rite of Passage = priceless

I also haven't seen a single race in cali, indiana, or yes PA. What I meant was PA's 40 sprints may be better than Ohio's 40 sprints.........but I imagine they both put on a hell of a show. My case in point...or my example was last weekends ASCS speedweek races here at OKC. Most weekly shows that feature around 35 injected 360's and 20 2 bbl. sprints for 10$ were a lot better than the 46 ASCS sprints at 20$ on a stuck to the bottom dry-slick track. ASCS brought in some better drivers maybe and more HP........but that alone did not make it a better show than what we normally see here in OKC.
Maybe that doesn't really explain it..........but a PA track and a Ohio track could have the exact same # of cars.......granted one with more talent in the field than the other..........but does that necessarily mean it's going to be a better show?
and BTW.........I've really wanted to come up there to PA and see some racing.........same as I want to see Indiana and Ohio speedweeks. And the statement about Cali and IND is because even though 95% of the races I see are winged..........I still think non-wing action is a lot more exciting. And I think it takes more skill to drive a non-winged sprinter or midget.
|
OKC, I have been to about 40 races so far this year and the biggest parade I saw anywhere all year was the Friday night WoO show at the Grove. I wrote that the $12 weekly show at the Grove is far more entertaining than when any of the sanctions travel into the area.
Pennsylvania handicaps the fast cars to the middle of the field weekly, To me, weekly racing everywhere (not just in PA) should be about providing entertaining shows. Imagine that. I got ripped for my stance and was told that making fast cars pass slower ones just creates an illusion. That is also the Scott Bloomquist view on proper race format as well. LOL
But I have been to enought different places, both dirt and asphalt, and seen enough Late Model races in the South to know that local, short-track racing should be all about giving fans the most entertaining format possible, even if that format just creates an "illusion." LOL

Wrong again. While Kauffman and Keel did run a few full seasons with the WoO. The wins posted above in California were during their part time years. Believe me, I did the footwork before I posted it. As far as where Keel is from, that is no news to me, however, how many seasons has he raced in NY?

I remember Kevin Eckert wrote a while back that one of things Keel is most proud of is that he beat out Bob McCreadie for rookie of the year with the DIRT Modified organization in 1982. LOL

Once again Drak you missed the boat, I wasn't the one upset with the Grove comments, I wasn't even there, lol. Nobody loves a joke more than I do, too bad you don't know any or any that make sense. Your hero keeps making references about Eldora which make no sense either, you guys get a bad batch of something or what? He's been to a few Kings Royal there and I guess he's an expert on the joint, sadly I could give a rat's @$$. Tell him to some to the 4-Crown or the World 100 then he'll see some real racing there and a real party. Take It Easy....
