Richard V. was fast time at :15.894; the only driver under :16. Markus 2nd at :16.097. Jace 3rd at :16.138. Tom Hendricks in a Kruser 4th at :16.145. Landon Hurst 5th at :16.166. Danny Faria 5th at :16.179. Bud was further back at :16.422. Ryan came out twice but shut the engine down on his first lap the first time and didn't register a time via xponder on his second attempt, though he looked pretty quick. Lots of sheet metal stuff between now and the heats, so figure 8:00 or 8:15 before we have the heats in.

Heat One: Rich V. from 6th (or 7th) to 3rd twice before spinning and then being pushed around... and finally off the track. Liggett, Barnes, #89 (from Australia? can't hear his name) & Kirkbride xferring...... Heat Two: Faria from 5th, Carlile from 2nd, Niemela from 6th & Bernal from 8th...... Heat Three: Bud from 5th, Hawkins & Jace V., Perkins. ...... Track really drying out; better drivers able to use every imaginable lane.

Unofficial results of the feature: Faria all the way after two reds and (what?) four yellows, with Jace Vander Weerd in pursuit much of the way to 2nd, Rich V. coming from well back to 3rd, Bud from mid-pack to 4th, Marty Hawkins from 9th to 5th, Ryan Bernal from Pluto to 6th after appearing to have been knocked around (and forced to the back on the restart) by someone (Bud?) on lap 24, Tom Hendricks to 7th from mid-pack, and Kevin Barnes to 8th from well back.
Faria was chased by Liggett in the early laps but had enough chill going to save his tires while being able to go pretty much anywhere he wanted to keep Ligget and then Vander Weerd behind him at all times. A good crowd on a very warm afternoon and early evening. Danny gave surfnsprint a nice plug at the end; what was that about? Hahaha.
