Coming in to town next week. We are car pooling so not going to pull the boat. Where are some good places to try some bank fishing? Don't really care what we catch, just want to try a little fishing. I'm assuming the Red Rock reservoir would be a good place but kinda like finding a needle in a haystack there!

Not a local, but below the dam at Red Rock would be a place to start.

If you don't mind driving a little ways, Red Haw Lake on the south east side of Chariton is nice with lots of shore access. And if you go there, make sure and stop in at Pipers Candy on the north side of the Chariton square. Best chocolate turtles you'll ever eat.

White Breast. Not so busy and crowded but also not to bad for fishing. Making it simple, go out East Main towards Pella. The road will curve hard to the left and as it curves hard right towards Pella and the dam, (There is usually a police car parked in backwards), go to the left. There is a sign that says White Breast. Take it in a mile or so and you will see some campgrounds. We just drive down the road at the end of one of them and where the road ends you can cast out straight or to the side. Don't know where you are coming from but they do have 3 day fishing licenses at WalMart and others. Enjoy.
My wife told me if I went to one more Sprint Car race
she would leave me.................I'm sure gonna miss
that ol' gal.

You'll save time and money if you just go thru the drive-true at Long John's Silver!

Below the dam like Rollie said. You're liable to catch anything.
If this post isn't results, stories or something c
constructive, it isn't me!

At the age of 16 I heard those very same words...just before my first trip to Tijuana!
