RPM FRI. 8/2: SPRINTS, MODS, STOCKS; plus teaser for 8/9

Even Alanis Morissette would find it 'ironic' that she couldn't develop song lyrics that relate to the highly anticipated RPM Speedway O'Reilly Summer Slam last Friday night after it fell to heavy rains...right as teams from three states and fans were converging upon the speedway.
Once again, RPM track management, fans and race teams have to shrug it off and prepare for this Friday night at RPM Speedway (August 2nd); as there will be a complete racing program for the RaceSaver Sprint Cars, USRA Modifieds, Street Stocks, Factory Stocks and Limited Modifieds.
As a teaser, make sure to check out the RPM Speedway press release tomorrow. The final 'song' has not been written regarding the O'Reilly Summer Slam...so please hang tight until then for the 'lyrics' to be released.
Turning back to this coming Friday, the current forecast shows race time temperatures of 90's and dry, with temps dropping into the upper 80's during the racing program. No 'rogue thunderstorms' are currently forecast, as weather.com shows a 0% chance of precipitation.
Here are the racing highlights for Friday August 2nd:
- The RaceSaver Sprint Cars will have a complete program of heats and feature races that pays $500 to win and $140 to start.
- The USRA Modifieds ($600/win and $100/start), Limited Modifieds ($500/win), Street Stocks ($400/win) and Factory Stocks ($300/win) will all run heats and features. There are no entry fees in any division. Reminder to Factory Stock teams: powerglide transmissions are legal - as long as the car races with asphalt pull off tires on all four corners.
Here is the schedule for Friday August 2nd:
PIT GATE OPENS at 5:30pm
GRANDSTANDS OPEN at 6pm
MANDATORY* WHEEL PACKING 7pm (ALL CARS, ALL CLASSES)
DRAW CUT OFF & HOT LAPS at 7:30pm SHARP
FIRST GREEN FLAG is at 8pm SHARP
REGULAR GRANDSTAND TICKET PRICES ($12 for adults) and pit passes ($30 for all ages) are in effect, with no driver entry fees in any division.
*Mandatory Wheel Packing from 7-7:30 for all cars in all classes. If your car does not wheel pack by 7:30 (at the time of the draw cutoff), you will start your heat race at the tail of the field and there are no passing points for those drivers. This applies to all drivers in all race divisions.

IT'S RACE DAY at RPM Speedway, Friday August 2nd!
Tonight's action features the RaceSaver Sprint division, USRA Modifieds, Street Stocks, Factory Stocks and Limited Modifieds.
