Let me start this off by saying i've been to 2 of the 4 races i'll support any group that comes my way!!! love seeing guys like Danny Holtgarver, Cap Henry, Dale Blaney etc. guys i dont get to see but 3-4 times a year if im lucky.

but they have to be pretty upset so far the All-Stars are 1-3 and the only race they won was the race they were the only ones that showed up. has Tim Shaffer and Dale Blaney overrated or are they just struggling right now?

They are over rated. If they feel the need to travel they should simply run the local rules of the tracks they go to. They sure are not the outlaws.....

I tell it like I see it.

Wilmot was the first night of Thunder Through the Plains tour and Blaney picked up the win so now they are up to 2 wins!

Yea overrated.  Like winning the Knoxville Nationals and approaching the all-time feature win mark for the All Stars Respectively...

Just the latest post of someone who anonymously podart stuff without knowing the sport...

Over rated? Hasn't Blaney won multiple Outlaw shows in the past few seasons? Bill already covered the nationals victory...

Last night teenager Corey Mack from Grand Forks, grandson of HoFamer Don Mack, lead the first 8 or 9 laps of the All Star race, Schaffer and Blaney couldn't pass him, then finally they got around him as did Clint Garner (I think it was Garner in the BWW car) as did 23 year old Tom (Thomas) Kennedy of Winnipeg, Manitoba, son of Lou Kennedy Jr who was also there racing in Glyndon, MN at the Buffalo River Race Park.  On about lap 16 or 17, young Kennedy got the lead, passing the above named cars, all of them, and kept the lead, winning, even surviving a red flag stop with 3 laps to go.  All Stars?  But happy for Corey Mack who ended up 4th or 5th and Tom Kennedy the winner.

Last night was the first time they were had ever been to Glyndon and Thomas ran a good race.  Blaney was closing the gap but just couldnt complete it.  It isn't easy going to a new track especially when you are one of 4 guys who has never seen it.  And these 2 guys arent going to drive by everyone at a place like Huset's where there are a handful of other great racers.  Losing to Madsen, Dobs, or McCarl is nothing to be ashamed about.  I wouldn't say either one is over rated.  And I am sure they will prove that in a few weeks at Knoxville when they make the A for the Nationals..

Scott Winters was in the Buffalo Wild Wings #82, not Clint Garner.
Track conditions were good for the 1st 15 laps, then rubbered down the rest of the way.
But overall, good feature, nice facility @ Glyndon. Congrats to Thomas holding off Blaney & Shaffer.

"If they feel the need to travel" - what is that supposed to mean? Nobody said they were the Outlaws, even though when they do run shows with the Outlaws, they hold their own pretty well. What a dumb comment.

Shaffer and Blaney overrated???   Was that question really asked?  What kind of rating are we talking about?  Best ever in the history of sprint car racing?  Well maybe not.  But as good as nearly anyone who drives a sprint car today?  Well, yes.  Yes I think they are.

I can think of a lot of things to call Shaffer and Blaney but overrated is not one of them. A few years ago Shaffer won almost every race he entered after the knoxville nationals and Blaney has what, 98 allstar wins. That is just all star wins, not counting the Outlaw races and other races he has won. And what is with the comment about them not being Outlaws?? Both drivers beat the Outlaws a couple times each year and if they don't they run pretty consistent in the race, plus both of them do very well when they race other places off of the all star schedule.

Amen Nick....   Just because a team is full time with the Outlaws doesn't mean they are a better caliber of winged racer.  The WoO tour is brutal and if you cant run top 5 regularly you probably are losing money.  I applaud the true Outlaws who run all over on their own terms.

More weight, more regulation, more similarity in the
cars.... that will ensure plenty of thrills for years
to come. Only the most average talent behind the
wheel will be needed with such awesome equipment on
the track!

Surprised no one has mentioned Kennedy won with a 360 under the hood.

Overrated?? Wow! Please at least do a quick google search before posting a bunch of nonsense...

Look at the 2 links:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dale_Blaney

http://www.timshaffer.com/timabout.htm

that is from 30 seconds of "googling"

If they are overrated I'd sure like to know what it takes not to be overrated and who actulay isn't? I think the list would be pretty small...
