As announced on Twitter last week, I am starting a tire fund donation for Knoxville Raceway regular, Robert Bell. I was talking with my dad about a discussion thread on here and decided to simply help out a passionate racer that doesn't have the funding as some of the other teams. Our goal is to be able to raise enough money to purchase a brand new Hoosier right rear for the Knoxville Nationals.
The Minnesota Mafia has stepped up and decided to donate $100 to kick this fund off! We couldn't have asked for a better group in sprint car racing to kick off this cause. Although this is a very generous contribution to this fund, we encourage anyone to donate what you can, even if that means spare change. Every cent counts.
We will be taking donations starting the Saturday of 360 Nationals until the following Saturday. We will have a spot on the corner of W Ash St and Lincoln (just a block south of Dingus just passed the railroad tracks) where donations will be taken. We will also be at Osky on Monday and Tuesday night.
If you have any questions at all, email me at [email protected] or text 817-372-0053 for more details.
I don't know how excited y'all are for Nationals, but I'm looking for to the 12 hour drive from Texas. I really hope this fund will take off and make this year's version of Nationals just that much better. Not just for me, but for anyone who donates also. You'll be part of a good cause that will be greatly appreciate by this passionate sprint car driver.
Thanks for everything. I hope to meet lots of y'all next week! God bless and safe travels on your way to the sprint car capital of the world!

Hoosier right rears run around $250-$275. I would love to be able to by a left rear, too! Just have to raise enough money!

Not sure where you are buying your Hoosiers from but everyone else outside of Knoxville is paying $200 for a RR and LR.

What a cool idea! This is truly the sprint car spirit. Robert is so deserving and NOW Nationals has just gotten so much better. Hell lets get 4 new tires and to top it off some fuel and a good ole Iowa Pork Fritter. When I saw the picture of him loading his sprint car out his the side of his house I was like he's the man. I'm in on this too and will find you on Monday or Tuesday. Good job SikkFiveSixx, truly in the name of sprint car spirit!!!!

An update on the fund's progress. As of last night, we have already surpassed our goal. Brad Brown of IBRacn stepped up and put another $50 on the table bringing our total to $200, which is right around the price of a right rear. Not only did he donate, but he also used the resources and popularity that he has to promote the fund. In doing so, the driver of the #4x Shawn Peterson donated an entire tire to the fund! I know Shawn has been getting a lot of criticism on here lately, but it shows that Peterson cares about the sport and is a member of the sprint car racing family. I am very grateful for all generous donations and truly in awe by how fast this has taken off. I want to see it keep growing and growing! Help continue to spread the word!

Just a side note, and I am not a Lasoski fan, but quite a few years ago at the Nationals, Robert had had a couple incidents and if I remember correctly he had a donated tail tank with another number on it and someone's extra wing on top and Lasoski walked over to his pit and gave him a set of 4 tires for his Nationals. Just a nice jesture by Dude.

Sounds perfect! Not 100% sure, but I would like to get as many new tires as possible and take the remaining money and put it toward fu for him.

The thing about this is Robert Bell will not be forgotten this year! I know everyone has their favorite drivers but this is a guy that you can go donate to the cause that Tanner has started and have a blast cheering this guy on. I want pictures of Tanner and Robert.
