Look out!!  If he races the next 150 years full time on the WOO tour, Steve Kinser's all time wins record may be in jeopardy!   I would predict a solid top 8 in the points standings for 2014.

All crap aside--time to get the kid out of that ride and put someone in that can win on a regular basis.  Darrah must have some pictures of Kahne that he's using for blackmail or something.  ?

While I don't buy into the "picture" theory I do believe he has not lived up to all the hype that was on this board (mainly from the Posse faithful) when it was announced he had the ride.

Funnny thing is I almost started a thread yesterday about overrated drivers and he and Saldana were my top two.  Regardless of his win I still feel the same way.

Yes,time to get him out of the seat......I think his family pays Kasey for that ride somewhat!

Put Jason Meyers in the car

Darrah is my dark hores to win the nationals.

Why, because he times good. Thats a BIG part of the format.

He has bean solid all year.

If he does time well and every thing go's his way he could have a lagit shot.

I think Robert Bell is going to pull off the win at 410 nationals this year, he always runs strong and knows how to wheel a sprint car batter then most!

If Jason turned the #9 ride down, I don't think he's waiting for a call from Kasey about the #4.

I think I'd agree with those top two.

He definitely spends more time on the track during qualifying than anyone else does.  That should count for something.

I recall drivers such as Shane Stewart, Paul McMahon, Donny Schatz and many others struggling when they were young. Yes Cody had a lot of hype because of the Posse crowd but it was not like Cody was saying that he was going to be the greatest sprint car driver ever, it was others. I think he is a good solid driver, not a championship caliber driver yet, but still a good driver that can contend each night. Everyone who is calling for Kasey to fire him are going to be the same people years from now complaining that he does not have a ride like we are doing for Shane now and were doing for Paul the last couple of years. Sprint car racing is not like other forms of racing, it takes years to get good. Drivers like Kyle Larson, Steve Kinser, Sammy Swindell are exceptions to that rule.

According to the WoO site he has one fast time after 50 races so your theory (apparently) doesn't hold water!

Kasey can do what he wants.  However, there are many drivers out there that ARE seasoned and could certainly do better in that car than Cody is doing.  If I need to keep sponsorship on a car--I would need to put someone in it who is in victory lane and is not on his roof all the time.  Yes--it takes a long time to develop most racers.  Racing is a lot like major league baseball.  So, with that being said, Cody should still be in the minor leagues right now.  Nothing against the kid personally and he obviously has a lot of talent to get the ride in the first place.  Shane Stewart is not in the WOO.  Why?  Same reason that I am saying Cody shouldn't be.  He wasn't ready and he got pulled from the seat.  Is Stewart ready now?  Yes.  Is Paul McMahon ready now?  Hell yes.   The quality of the equipment and the money backing Cody's car warrants better results than what they are getting.   He needs to go back down to "triple A" and see some slower pitching.    Sorry for the Posse jab!

I respect your opinion and agree that he is not as seasoned as much as other drivers that are without a full time ride. But what better way to get seasoned and experienced than racing on the tour. A lot of drivers out there deserve full time rides but that is a matter of not enough owners to give opportunity. Our sport needs young drivers like Cody to develop as well as a lot of other drivers that our without a ride. I know his stats are not like Steve Kinser like, but he has shown signs of consistency at times. Lets try to Just give the kid some time to put it all together instead of trying to get him booted out of the seat because others are without a ride and encourage others out there to put the other drivers into rides as well.

I ABSOLUTELY agree that the best way to get the kid experience is to have him run the WOO full time.  That was not my point.  Economically, it's just not feasible to have a guy run year after year after year on the sponsor's dollar while we wait for him to get better.   There are a lot of drivers out there (Shane Stewart, Tim Kaeding to name two) that could fill that car full time and run up front almost every night.  So, like I said before, if Kasey can continue to finance the deal and find sponsorship, he can do what he wants.  If he needs that car to run up front all the time for sponsorship reasons, then Cody has to go and he needs to fill the seat with a proven driver.  Cody can come back in 3 years when he is ready.

I've seen Darrah driving pretty dangerously at Lincoln and the Grove in the past, not sure I'd like to see him back here:{

Some ran the All Stars for a year or 2 while hitting the WOO when they were around the area. While the All Stars did race at various tracks which helped when the time came to hit the WOO. Some did pretty good & some did crappy, I'd say the crappy 1's were not destined to be of greatness whether they had the funding or not. I never could figure out how some guys could race for years & yet never seemed to run the middle of the pack if not at the back. Think they would hit a setup every now & again.

What the *uck are you guys talking about?  Not many people from PA cared about Darrah going to the WoO, not many people follow him there, not really anyone from PA talks about him here?  He was the 5-6th best driver/team when he was here, I don't think anyone's surprised he's not Steve Kinser (the old Steve Kinser that is).  PA racing is talked about a lot more on this board by people that have never seen it than anyone that knows anything about it.  There are regularly 3 posts on the front page talking about CA (none of them talking about the Beckers, Greggs, Allards, Forsbergs, etc... that actually race there, which is kinda sad).

Saldana won 20 races 3 years ago.  He might be having an off year with a new team, but overrated?  Who are you guys?  What do you race?  What have you seen?  I need some background on all this logic...

Saldana is 7th on the all time wins list with 83 wins.  I am puzzled by the overrated idea.  Not as good as he was a few years ago?  Maybe.  Time will tell.  But overrated?  Have to agree with you LatshPA.

Darrah is currently ahead of S. Kinser, K. Kinser, Madsen, Sides and Kemenah but I don't see anyone constantly hating on those guys. He just won his 2nd WOO race of the season yet most of the responses are negative. Could it have anything to do with where he's from? How about we just let the kid race and let the car owner choose who he wants in the seat?
