RPM’s O’Reilly SUMMER SLAM 7/26: $1,000 to win EACH: MODS-LTDS-FS!
7/22/13 (Crandall, TX) by DarinShort.com. A fantastic night of fun and racing is on tap this coming Friday at RPM Speedway in Crandall, Texas with the running of the O’Reilly Auto Parts Summer Slam.
O’Reilly Auto Parts will have their traveling outdoor mobile display unit all set up for fans to win one of several hundred prizes throughout the evening. Prizes include an autographed O’Reilly Auto Parts gift certificates, handheld calculators, O’Reilly coolers, #20 Tony Stewart 1/24 die cast car, Frisbees, O’Reilly ball caps & more!
A warm, dry evening is currently forecast; and the winners of the USRA Modifieds, Factory Stocks and Limited Modifieds will take home a cool $1,000 in cash. The Street Stock feature winner will receive $500. There are no added pit pass costs or entry fees for this event. Normal ticket prices are also in effect, with $12 for Adults, $5 for youth ages 6-12. Kids 5 and under are free with adult purchase.
The traveling teams of the North Texas STARS Racing Series (NTSRS.net) will also compete in heat and feature races.
Here are the racing highlights for Friday July 26th:
-The USRA Modifieds ($1,000/win and $100/start), Limited Modifieds ($1,000/win), Street Stocks ($500/win) and Factory Stocks ($1,000/win) will all run heats and features; as will the NTSRS.net drivers.
-There are no entry fees in any division. Reminder to Factory Stock teams: powerglide transmissions are legal - as long as the car races with asphalt pull off tires on all four corners.
Here is the schedule for Friday July 26th:
PIT GATE OPENS at 5:30pm
GRANDSTANDS OPEN at 6pm (fans can visit the O’Reilly mobile display upon their arrival and throughout the evening)
MANDATORY* WHEEL PACKING 7pm (ALL CARS, ALL CLASSES)
DRAW CUT OFF & HOT LAPS at 7:30pm SHARP
FIRST GREEN FLAG is at 8pm SHARP
REGULAR GRANDSTAND TICKET PRICES ($12 for adults) and pit passes ($30 for all ages) are in effect, with no driver entry fees in any division.
*Mandatory Wheel Packing from 7-7:30 for all cars in all classes. If your car does not wheel pack by 7:30 (at the time of the draw cutoff), you will start your heat race at the tail of the field and there are no passing points for those drivers. This applies to all drivers in all race divisions.

FRIDAY JULY 26 - It's The O'REILLY AUTO PARTS SUMMER SLAM AT RPM SPEEDWAY!
Lots of extra purse money for the race teams and hundreds of prize give ways for the race fans will highlight tonight's O'Reilly Auto Parts Summer Slam at RPM Speedway in Crandall.
We're keeping our eye out for the chance of t-storms this afternoon between 2pm-6pm (according to the forecast), and as long as the track dodges any major precip, we will be OK; as the track requires a fair amount of water to be added for it to be race ready, as does the pit area and infield.
We will provide you will immediate updates at http://www.RPMSpeedwayTX.com and on this racing forum if, and when, there are any changes.
