Anybody know why Lasoski ran the Knight Before The Kings Royal, but skipped out on the Kings Royal?? Lack of money? Prior commitment?

From past experience, when a driver hauls all of their equipment to a big race like that and packs up and goes home before the big show, they are suffering from vertigo.

Lowest car count I have seen. 42 cars I believe there was.

Well it was better than packing up after the heats at the HBO years ago.

Anything over 40 is fine with me for the King's Royal. The quality was there and the racing was very good. With the King's Royal you know you are going to get somewhere between 40-50 cars about about 85% of them will be heavy hitters. I was there and it was a great night of racing.

I don't know why there is so much Lasoski hate on this board. If I've learned one thing watching him race since the early 80s it's never count him out. He's a mad scientist of sprint cars and one of the all time greats.
More weight, more regulation, more similarity in the
cars.... that will ensure plenty of thrills for years
to come. Only the most average talent behind the
wheel will be needed with such awesome equipment on
the track!

So we should look for the Dude to be the next driver to lead the police on a three state chase????

I wasnt bashing Lasoski at all. I was just asking a simple question as to why he  showed up for the knight before and not the royal.  My apologies for being curious

It takes a helluva driver to make it through three states before they're stopped. Most of us couldn't make it out of our neighborhood. wink

I don't think Lasoski likes running Eldora.  I also agree with the cherry picking comment about Knoxville.  Just my 2 cents worth.
