I got a call today from a trusted friend that told me that Roush Yates Management told the Roush Yates Short Track Sprint Car program:
1). You aren't profitable
2). We are terminating the Roush Yates Sprint Car Program.
Jeremy let us know if this is a dum rumor or so..!

The Ford has too much power. Whenever Jason Johnson gets on the gas it tries to reverse the rotation of the earth which has contributed to the global warming issue. The government stepped in.

If it is true it throws a curve into stenhouse and Johnson from going outlaw racing next year. Without a ford motor program they may not be able to do it.

It never made much sense to me to have an engine builder based in an area where there are relatively few sprint cars. From a customer service stand point why is someone in PA, OH, IA, or IN going to buy a Roush Yates when there are great sprint car engine builders in their own back yards. It was doomed to fail anyways in my opinion. As far as Stenhouse and JJR, there is always the chance that Roush Yates will build their engines because of their ties, but they'll stop selling them commercially.

Would have had to see it to believe it anyway. I think he was quite happy trying to be a big duck in a little puddle so to speak. I always thought JJ was better in an Ott anyways.

When will we concede the fact that the Chevy Small Block platform for sprint cars is far superior to Mopar and Ford.

Not superior. Just more availability in parts & prices are somewhat cheaper for the Chevys.

There are owners with deep enough pockets that if they thought the Ford was better, they'd spend the extra money on them.

CHEVY's Platform is superior to FORD? Explain the Chevy SB2 to me then? In case you are unaware... it's FORD's design....
Sprint Car to other forms of racing is irrelevant...
Chevy's dominance of Small block racing is purely a product of people using and evolving with it for the past 50 years... because the basic design is far inferior to Ford and Mopar.
And, I'm a Chevy guy.

In the last 15 years? What planet are you referring to? Thanks!
Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

Owners with deep pockets or a high profile team using a Ford? Wasn't Luna the last large scale team to run one? All I've been trying to point out is that big operations would have bought up the Roush Yates motors if they offered any significant advantage.

He'll go faster when he's driving a Chevy again.
