Sprint Cars, 3-Wide Mods; TMS USNDTC Registration Now Open!

Ft. Worth TX (7/11/2013) by DarinShort.com. When the Sprint Cars returned to Texas Motor Speedway’s Dirt Track in 2012, race fans turned out in droves to witness the high speeds, excitement and drama. And today, the 2013 Port-A-Cool® U.S. National Dirt Track Championship (USNDTC) info hub and online event registration website is now open for the Sprint Cars, Modifieds and Limited Modifieds. The event will be held September 19th through the 21st.

The Winged Sprint Cars features the stars and cars of the Lucas Oil ASCS Sprint Car Dirt Series. The Winged Sprint Cars will race on September 21st, and fans can expect a great field of drivers including 2012 USNDTC winner Jason Johnson, Johnny Herrera, Brad Loyet, Tony Bruce Jr., Danny Wood, Seth Bergman, Dustin Morgan, Logan Forler, Jeff Swindell, Dustin Morgan, Cole Wood, Brandon Hahn and many more from throughout the region. 42 Sprint Car teams competed in the 2012 event.

The Modifieds and Limited Modifieds will compete in qualifying races Friday September 20th and their last chance qualifiers and championship feature events will be contested on September 21st. The Modifieds will be racing for $3,000 to win and $750 to start (27th), while the Limited Modifieds will have a winner’s check of $2,000 awaiting them with $400 to start (27th).

However, there are unique twists to this year’s event:

The Modified and Limited Modified championship feature events will each start 3-wide! That’s right; nine rows of three wide cars will start their features – for a total of 27 in each!

And that’s not all. Each Modified and Limited Modified event will be started and restarted at the chalk line in corner four. Single file restarts have been replaced with the popular ‘Delaware’ style, which has the lead car out front and the rest of the restarting field double-file behind. All starts and restarts will be side-by-side, nose-to-tail and no fanning out…so drivers will get a fair start/restart.

In addition, there will be an auction held in the pit area prior to each of the Modified and Limited Modified championship feature events, with the highest bidding driver starting in the 27th position.

The traditional practice night will be held on Thursday, September 19th, with the following addition: there will be a Pit Party following the practice (at 10pm) for all of the teams in attendance! Details on the pit party will be posted in the weeks to come.

Modified and Limited Modified drivers will have two provisional starters added to each of their championship features (starting 25th and 26th), but they will be drawn from pre-entered drivers, so don't miss out on this second chance! Early registration ends on September 6th, 2013.

By clicking http://www.darinshort.com/dtc.html all competing race teams can take advantage of this online registration convenience and view the event site. Complete event detail, purse and rules are also posted there.

At this special registration website, there is a link for the Modified and Limited Modified divisions to preregister their team, and for all race divisions to purchase advance 2-day pit passes (saves $10), reserve a paved pit space (while supplies last) and sign up for practice night, which will be held on Thursday September 19th. Car numbers will be assigned on a first-entered basis, so enter early for the best chance to get yours.

Last year, pit parking spaces sold out a month before the event, so if your team requires one, it would be best to enter as soon as you can.

Teams can pay using any major credit or debit card and all transactions are secured through PayPal, an eBay company that has soared to over 128 million active accounts. You can make multiple purchases on the registration section within the same transaction, which will save you time and typing. When you are on the registration page, continue to select ‘add to cart’ items until you are finished and a separate window will contain the items you have selected. You can also edit the invoice before you make your final purchase. You do not have to be a PayPal member to use this service.

Printable event schedules, complete purse breakdown for all race divisions, rules and more can also be found at the link listed above. If you would prefer to enter by mail, there is an event flyer at the above link that you can print, fill out and mail in your payment. For those not familiar with the TMS layout, there is also a link to a map of the property.

Event sponsor Port-A-Cool offers a 'cool' bonus to each of the three U.S. National Dirt Track Championship winners: The Sprint Car, Modified and Limited Modified A-feature winners on Saturday September 21st will receive a Port-A-Cool Cyclone 3000™ - a value of $849 each! The Port-A-Cool Cyclone 3000 centrifugal air delivery system provides 700 square feet of temperature cooling, in a portable and small footprint design. Texas based Port-A-Cool is thrilled to be involved with this event, and offers practical and affordable products that all racers and race fans can use to stay cool!

The first weekend of registration for the Port-A-Cool® U.S. National Dirt Track Championship at Texas Motor Speedway's Dirt Track attracted early entries from Oklahoma, Louisiana and all over Texas. The event is Fri/Sat, September 20-21, with a practice night on September 19.

25 of those teams have already purchased their reserved paved pit parking as well. It's likely it will sell out way in advance, as was the case last year when
all the paved pit parking sold out on August 24.

So if you know you would like paved parking for the entire weekend, please click http://www.darinshort.com/dtc.html and you can get your team all set up in just a few clicks. And remember, if you're registering multiple cars/divisions, you can do so all within the same shopping cart invoice. You do not have to
register/pay for each car separately.

And race fans, tickets to this blockbuster event are now on sale. There's links at the above site to check out your ticket options, which will save you time upon your arrival at the speedway on race night.

Thanks again for all of the teams that are utilizing the registration website, it helps the track prepare for your arrival on race week. For complete event details, please click the link above. It contains the full purse, rules,
directions/map; and much more.
