How much did production costs have to do with the demise for the televised races? I was just curious because Fox has all the regional channels with the equipment relatively close to a lot of tracks. I read Fox was looking to possibly show some regional NASCAR stuff. A little wishful thinking that they'll pick up some of the bigger dirt shows.

I heard from a reliable source that years ago when TNN was doing some televising it cost $65K a night just to have the equipment there. I'm sure it is much more these days. I just don't know that any network is going to be too much interested in TV for sprint cars. They just don't make for good TV due to all the yellow and red flags. Yes, on tape delay they can "edit" things out but it is the time they are paying for at the track for their crew and equipment.
