It the pit seating reserved only? The website makes it appear so. Also, obviously not in the pits, can you take beer in the grandstands? How quick does the general admission seating fill up and can you see good from there? Anything else I should know or recommendations. Thanks!!!

I like to hang out pitside so I can't help you on seating on the front stretch, but you receive a reserved seat in the pits grandstand with your pit pass when you get it. I usually park off of Dutch Hollow close to the pits and bring a lawn chair also. I usually watch the races standing on the like a porch off of the pitside food vending area. You are going to love this race, it is kick ass!

Pit stands usually are full for Doty. People don't honor the reserved seats to a T since a lot of crews and family are coming/going. They do allow beer in the pits at Lima. Have fun, best race of the year.

Thanks for the info!!! So we'll go with the pit pass and reserved seat given with. Nice that they allow beer in the pit stands

If you get there late the pit stands will sell out of seats but you can still roam around and watch from different vantage points which is what I do.
