Maybe the rumors are true! The video guy and George gone. I emailed Gary Thomas and he said everything is fine with KWS. Hmmm? Anyone have any new info?

Where did this info come from? Is there a press release? Was it on kws tonight? Or is racewaytalk mad at the kws and want's to start stuff with them? I was more of a N.A.R.C. guy myself, but am glad to hear atleast the golden state challenge (KWS) was still in Calif. even if I wasn't anymore.

Hello Everyone,
I thought KWS might put out a release so I will let you know here on the board.
As of July 10th I'm no longer affiliated with KWS, DES or Dan Simpson.
I want to thank Dan for the oppertunity to work wih the BEST TEAMS and FANS in the contry to bring West Coast 410 sprint car racing to the prominence it deserves.
I will see you at the races on occassion, and hope everybody comes out to support he NARC Benevoent Fund Auction this Saturday afternoon at Ocean Speedweay. Please come out and support a great cause. Hope to see all of you there.
Thnaks again for all the support and kind words. IT BEEN A GREAT RIDE.

I personaly want to thank you for what you did for Norcal 410's over the past few seasons. You were the humorous one on their shows. I'm sure I'll see you around at a sprintcar race. I've been a fan of what you do since the Baylands and San Jose days.

There's always a seat in the booth for you at Petaluma George. Good luck with whatever comes along. See you at Trophy Cup? - Ron

I'm fine with this George, as you probably already knew, if it was your decision to leave. If you were let go it is definitely not a step in the right direction for any of those affiliations you mentioned. Perhaps they can change the name of KWS Tonight to "Dan Simpson's as the world turns........". Feeling pretty good that my life does not revolve around racing at the moment given some of the things that I keep seeing while at a distance. Perhaps you can join me at Sierra Nevada for a pint or two some time if you are ever in Chico :-). Look forward to running into you at some point down the road. Right now it looks like both Calistoga's first race and mine this year will be the Vermeil (how sad is that?) and the only other event on the calendar is Trophy Cup. Beyond that I'm just enjoying life. As always I wish you the best regardless of where you land.

Dont worry too much, there are plenty of CALI promoters waiting in the wings,to take winged 410 racing back, all i ask is who ever takes over comes from sprintcar racing and has experience running these type of shows, not like today, the current owner came from sportscar racing, then got into sprintcars and had very little experience, and this is what u end up with,a series barely afloat, well he gave it the old college try,now its time to move on!

thanks for your years of devotion to the sprint car community george. i have no doubt your devotion will continue and you will find another racing venue to display your talents.
the NARC benevolent fund is something that deserves support from all of us in the racing community.
so everyone please take part in whatever fund raising activities are available at ocean this weekend.
remember high five is supplying the dinners to benefit the fund, so you can't go wrong there. the only thing better than going to high five is having them come to you!
looks like i have a good excuse to break my diet this weekend!
to indy and beyond!!

Since it looks like KWS is on it's last season, I hope someone retires this series and bring back the real one. Northern Auto Racing Club was, and always will be the the best series we ever had in California. I would love nothing more than the NARC series to make a comeback.

I will confess to being borderline illiterate so someone please help me with a two-part question.
Who is George Hague and what was his position with the KWS?
thanks,
leon

He was the older guy with glasses that sat next to Gary (who I assume you know) in every episode of "KWS Tonight".

Thanks killer...I certainly know Gary but must admit I have never watched their show as I greatly abhor the so-called "live feeds" on the internet.
