The last USMTS event in March at RPM drew the largest crowd in track history, and was listed as standing room only by USMTS officials. This Friday's event also features $1,000 to win for the Limited Modifieds and $750 to win each in the Factory Stocks and Street Stocks; so a great
turnout of cars are expected. It is a full track points race for all four race divisions.
The advance tickets are the exact same price as those available on race night, but you get to bypass the general admission line and proceed directly to the VIP ticket window (the 3rd window, closest to the ticket gate entrance). There is a chain that forms the line to the VIP window right near the fence. You will simply present your email receipt of the purchase and be issued your armband for admission.
Your advance purchase also gains you access to the ElbowsUp.com Pre-Race VIP Party, which is located directly to the north side of the grandstand entrance (near the souvenir stand). The party is from 6-6:30pm, and several drivers are already committed to being on hand to give you some one-on-one time before the big race, including:
Rodney Sanders (#20, winner of the 3/15 RPM USMTS event; from Happy, TX)
Stormy Scott (#2s, 2012 USMTS Rookie of the Year; from Las Cruces, NM)
Jason Hughes (#12, Multi-time USMTS champion; from Westville, OK)

6/27 EVENT UPDATES for FRIDAY JUNE 28 USMTS Town East Ford "BUILT FORD TOUGH 50" at RPM SPEEDWAY:
1. According to NOAA, at race time on Friday, the temperature is going to be 95, dropping into the mid-80's throughout the evening. There is a 10% chance of precip. Winds from the West-Southwest at 5-10mph (so in other words, to your back in the grandstands).
2. The following drivers have now confirmed they will participate in the ElbowsUp.com Pre-Race VIP Party (6:00-6:30pm):
Kelly Shryock - 9-time USMTS champion and all-time leading USMTS feature winner, with 176 total; from Fertile, Iowa.
Dereck Ramirez - First USMTS Nov. 2011 at Houston; from Woodward, OK.
Clyde Dunn - Over 100 career feature wins, including Texas Motors Speedway. From Sunnyvale, TX
Chase Allen - Popular DFW area racer - and now chassis builder, with tons of feature wins. From Temple, TX.
They now join the previously announced drivers: Rodney Sanders, Stormy Scott, Jason Hughes, Zack VanderBeek, Trevor Hunt, Chris Brown and Johnny Scott.
3. TODAY is the final day to purchase advance tickets to this event, which are available at no extra charge. Your advance ticket purchase includes the VIP Pre-Race Party and you get to bypass the general admission ticket line and go directly to the VIP ticket window. A visual has been added to www.RPMSpeedwayTX.com so you can see where you go to receive your VIP armband tomorrow night.
4. Drivers: You will draw-in for are three RPM points classes ($750 to win Factory Stocks, $1,000 to win Limited Modifieds, and $750 to win Street Stocks)...there are no entry fees in these classes. FS drivers: reminder, powerglide transmissions are
legal for all RPM FS races...you must run asphalt pull offs on all 4 corners if you have a powerglide transmission.
5. No reserved pit parking for this event. All parking is on a first-come basis.
6. Pits will be open on Friday around 10AM. Pit passes will go on sale at that time too. Grandstands open at 5pm. Pre-Race VIP Party presented by ElbowsUp.com at 6-6:30, Hot Laps at 6:45 and Racing at 7:30pm.
