Looks like Mother Nature might beat Donny Schatz at Knoxville this weekend.

A couple "futurecast" models I've seen show rain that blows through at around 4 pm... then nothing to speak of the rest of the night. I guess it just depends on how much rain we get then. Could get lucky and K'ville is only on the edge of the heavy stuff. I'm maybe being overly optimistic too... who knows.

Generally, when the forecast shows a storm, it will pass North of us. Most of the bad weather passes through with just the South end of it touching down. Would like to get in a good race. Kudos and thanks to the staff of Knoxville raceway getting the race in last week. With an absolutely terrible crowd and a sure as hell loss at the gate, they rushed the program and went ahead and got the race in. So much for everyone criticizing them for cancellations and not caring for the fans. They did this for the fans and it is appreciated. Thanks Knoxville.
My wife told me if I went to one more Sprint Car race
she would leave me.................I'm sure gonna miss
that ol' gal.

I'd rather see Schatz win over the rain, but if I had my choice Brown or TK would win it.
Anyone know when we will see Rico Abreu at Knoxville? I was excited to see him at the knats, but he decited to wait a year.

Looking at Rico's schedule on his website (http://www.ricoabreu.com/#!schedule/ccko), he's planning on hitting 360 Twin Features in a couple weeks.

Knoxville has done a great job the last 2 weeks getting the races in during tough situations due to
weather. Unfortunately, looks like they will have another hectic day tomorrow with the threat for
storms. Hopefully they continue exercising all options in order to run a full show despite mother
nature being somewhat of a bitch.
