Bryan Hulbert - TULSA, Okla. (June 11, 2013) On down the road for Saturday’s U.S. 36 Raceway appearance for the Speedway Motors Warrior Region as drivers trek nearly an hour away from Kansas City for a high banked rendezvous on Friday, June 14 for the Budweiser Sprint Car Shootout.

Marking the sixteenth ASCS sanctioned event at the U.S. 36 Raceway, the series second trip to the three-eighths mile oval in 2013 will be a standalone affair.

The Warrior Region joined with the Lucas Oil ASCS presented by MAVTV American Real on May 17 where Johnny Herrera laid waste to the field; lapping all but second finishing Dustin Morgan.

While the National Series plans to return on June 22 to cap of Speedweek at the Lucas Oil Speedway, points heading into Saturday’s date shows Jonathan Cornell atop the standings in the Missouri based arm of the ASCS Nation by 68 over Kansas driver Jay Russell.

Siblings Cody and Casey Baker hold third and fourth. Casey enters the weekend off a win with the Impact Signs, Awnings, and Wraps WAR Non Wing Sprint Series at the Valley Speedway on Saturday, June 8 while Casey’s participation in the upcoming U.S. 36 appearance is doubtful following a hard crash during the non-wing feature.

Tyler Blank has rolled to a strong start for 2013 to hold fifth with a pair of top five finishes to his credit, first at Valley Speedway on April 19 and then the Double X Speedway on May 26.

The balance of drivers in the top ten includes Wyatt Burks, Brian Brown, J.R. Topper, Miranda Arnold, and Jack Dover.

The U.S. 36 Raceway sits just outside Cameron, Mo. at the U.S. 36 and Mo 33 junction. Support classes for the Friday event include Modifieds and Sport Modifieds. Gates open at 4:00 P.M. (CDT) with races getting underway at 8:00 P.M. (CDT). More information on the U.S. 36 Raceway can be found at http://www.us36raceway.com.
