I can't say I am shocked as I expected to see multiple wins by Wolfe by this time and it just hasn't happend. Thought with his Woo experience he would be able to really get on a roll running against the midwest competition expecially with how well Henderson ran in the car. People can look at top 10's but at the end of the day everyone is in this for victory lanes and not press releases about have a great 10th place run. I am sure the BWW team will sit back and look the options and put a new driver behind the wheel.
I think I will head to BWW for lunch and think about it.....LOL

What an excellent answer & observation. Perhaps Lucas simply does not have the passion to run a "mixed-bag" of races such as the BWW #82 team is pursuing . . . there is nothing wrong with either party having differing goals. Perhaps Lucas will always shine best in the "Pennsylvania" genre?? (If memory serves me correct, he also has some asphalt track aspirations) You are very right about the wins . . . we all would expected that Lucas would have won a couple of races by now; having said that however, he did do extremely well on time trials throughout the 30+ events they ran this year . . . that demonstrated that the car definitely has the speed/power/set-up/potential to get the job done. I wish safety and success to him in his future endeavors, and I also hope to also see a continuing long-term commitment from the LaHaise family. I suspect (and hope) that we will see lots of action from both Lucas, and the BWW's team in the future.

I can totally understand why he got fired
Done 34 races, 7 podiums, 11 top 5's, 26 top 10's.
All with a new team & crewchief, if you expect to just put a driver in a new car & team & have instant success, then your kidding yourself.maybe whoever they put in next they should just go & do a few races at some local hillbilly track & win a few of them to pump their ego's up. Look at the races Lucas competed in,a majority of them are WoO races,Knoxville & Husets, all of these have high quality drivers week in & week out,and then you look at the majority of the WoO races he done, most of the were in California,so not only do you have 13 top notch WoO teams to compete again, your also competing against another 15 or so Cali racers that are capable of winning on any night!
I really think it don't matter who you put in that car, sounds like the team will self implode in the not to distant future, with expectations like they have

Henderson winning in that car last year was the symptom of the big fish in the little pond success.
Unless you are exceptional or start in the top 5 you are riding it out & very rarely moving forward but 1 or 2 spots.. Some nights you have what you have & if you try harder than needed the car comes home in a basket for no reason. Maybe that is the kind of dare devil driver this team is searching for. Might make them appreciate effort of stupididty.

Yep owners want to see their car on VL. Lucas has been consistent but I bet if he had a win or 2 he would still be in the ride. Henderson did very well in that car last year and was sent packing. Seems like the owners have very high, perhaps unreasonable, expectations.

If I was a betting man, I would bet Lucas got fired due to results and Henderson quit due to off track happenings, no one in their right mind would have fired Henderson for the results they got in such a small amount of time

Individuals with the cash to run a top notch sprint car organization have proven success in other endeavours. Successful people do not settle for marginal results. The same individuala are generally very impatent, having forgotten the time duration to attain their success.

My money = my rules.
I don't have to give anyone a reason.
That's pretty much how it works these days.
What I find of interest is the varied comments and thoughts the action by the car owner(s) is generating on this site.

If their theory is correct then lets look at Sammy and Steve. Fire them? Replace them with who?

let's look at the situation. you have a driver in lucas wolfe ,who has timed third at kville this past sat. evening. he is ready to get race. this is after working on the car ,driving the transporter to get there and putting up with a car chief who would rather be home with his girl freind. the car chief is not interested in staying up with track conditions. so you get the results. any driver needs the full attention of all involved to be successful

If the driver you replace got fired for lame reasons you can't expect much more.

It would be nice to see Brooke Tatnell in some equipment like the 82. He is not living up to the Tatnell name driving the 55 car from Knoxville. The car he owns has had great runs, winning a couple shows with the UMSS. He's also put a 410 in his car and ran respectful at the WoO at Elko and the IRA in Jim Falls WI.

The facts are that Lucas placed 6th in the time trials. Lucas then started 5th in the heat; he subsequently finished 5th in that heat. In the "A" main, Lucas started in 3rd . . . he finished 9th.
The night before in Burlington (Outlaw show) his time trial 8th. He started 3rd in the heat and finished 4th. In the "A" main he started 14th and finished 19th.

Brooke Tatnell is not just an Outlaw winner but a class act who will represent the car and its owners very well. He will also tell them what is happening with the crew and crew chief as well, you get nothing but straight answers from this man! Nearby and hopefully ready to go, let's start this weekend......

I agree, Mike. Brooke is a class act, great with the fans, good with sponsors, does not tear up equipment, and is the current track record holder at Knoxville. A record that might never be broken.
My wife told me if I went to one more Sprint Car race
she would leave me.................I'm sure gonna miss
that ol' gal.

Oh, I agree, chilly, but is has been a while. Droud's held up for quite a long time and I am sure you remember the fiasco when McCarl broke it and even though the entire session was washed out and rescheduled, they let his record stand. (Probably a correct call but controversial nonetheless.) The lap at 14.666 the other night is a nice lap but still a ways from the 14.407. Were you there the night they set it and I think there was over 30 guys who broke 15 and I don't remember how many broke the previous mark before Brooke settled it? Maybe we are due for another night like that? Think the Dunkins can do it again?

I hope we're never in line for another night like that.
Sure, 30 guys broke hte old track record, but if my memory serves, not one single car was passed all night long either (track was wet and one groove).
I'd take 17 second time trial laps again as long as it means guys can pass each other....
