The 2013 season has been a renaissance year for Fred Rahmer. With a lot of the noise and extracurricular stress factors from previous seasons now gone, Fred has been able to focus on the thing he does best: driving. With that focus, Fred and the Sell Racing team have put together an incredible campaign, with Fred's 4th win of the season coming on Saturday night at Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, Pennsylvania. Including this past race, Fred has now put the Ott Powered #20s Triple X in the top ten in all 26 of their starts this season, with 20 of those 26 races being top five performances. Fred currently leads the Central PA point standings, as well as the Lincoln Speedway and Williams Grove Speedway point championships. Saturday's running of the Gohn Memorial at Lincoln Speedway saw Fred win his heat race and by virtue of the point handicap system, start 7th in the A Main. Without hesitation, Fred set sail for the front of the pack, rapidly ascending to second place before dispatching race leader Todd Rittenhouse Jr backwards on lap 15. Rahmer would hold off Brian Montieth and Lance Dewease over the final few circuits to pick off the win. Fred's win, the 168th of his career at Lincoln, was worth over $4400 and gave the veteran driver his second victory of the year at the 3/8 mile clay oval. Fred and the Sell Racing Team proudly run Don Ott Power with VRP Shocks and Triple X chassis. Sponsors for Fred and the team include Art's Radiator, JM Bullion, Tru Line Contractors, Media Camping Center, Trevdan Building Supply, Blue Tree Landscaping, Durr Enterprise, Specialty Rigging Co, Pancho's Racing Products, Aran Trading Co and Reid's Tannery. "Fast Freddie" merchandise is available at the track and online at www.fredrahmer.com. Fred would also like to thank the Sell family, Moon and the Crew as well as his family for all their support.
