Can you get tickets when you get there or do they sell out? Also if needed, is the rain date Sunday? Thanks

I went back in 09 and bought reserve tix at the gate right before the first heat race was about to push off. Everytime I have gone I usually notice a few open seats at the bottom of the bleachers and I'm sure you can find a spot somewhere outside of the corners. The rain date is Sunday.

Tickets shouldn't be a problem, as was stated. If you don't have a bunch of people, get a pit pass and watch the races from various places in the pits and grandstand area. I like the turn 3 stands for the view of the backstretch and 3 and 4. As far as the rain date, unless it's a monsoon, they try to get the show in on Saturday. Didin't Kevin Gobrecht win the Kings with the checkered flag falling at 2 or 3 AM one year (sun starts to come up around 5 AM here in western Ohio in the summer!)? Have fun!

I think the only year in it's history they needed the raindate for the KR its self was 2008 and they ran it Sunday evening. In 1992 the Knight before the KR was ran on Sunday afternoon after being rained out.
Gobrecht won the rain delayed HBO in 1999. That was a late one, finishing up Sunday morning.
