RPM 6/7 Falls to Weather; Full Steam Ahead for 6/9 RPM Summer Shootout

t-storms' forecast today have turned into a reality of 3" of rain at RPM
Speedway...and at the time of writing, it's still raining throughout
the Metroplex.
So, the Friday June 7th races have been rained out.
However,
it will have no effect on the RPM Summer Shootout for RaceSaver Sprint
Cars, USRA Modifieds, Limited Modifieds, Street Stocks and Factory
Stocks this Sunday, June 9th. There will be plenty of drying time to get
the track whipped back into shape over the weekend.
Here's the nuts and bolts of the schedule changes due to this latest round of weather:
FRIDAY June 7 - Rained Out.
SUNDAY June 9 - RPM Summer Shootout, 4pm start time, visit track website for complete event flyer & details.
FRIDAY
June 14 - $1,000 to win USRA Modified feature (from 5/24, field is
set), $500 to win Street Stocks feature (from 5/24, field is set); then
we'll run the regularly scheduled points race for RaceSaver Sprint Cars,
USRA Modifieds, Street Stocks, Limited Modifieds and Factory Stocks.
(The 5/24 make up feature for the RaceSaver Sprint Cars will now be held
on Friday July 19th.)
Nothing else has changed as a result of the Friday night June 7th rain-out.

forecast for race time (Sunday, June 9th at 4pm) shows partly cloudy,
0% chance of precip, a light breeze out of the south and temps of upper
80's; and the sun at that time will be to your back in the stands... Bo
promises to keep the track as racy as possible, so it should make for a
fantastic event - don't miss it!

RPM SUMMER SHOOTOUT RACE DAY UPDATES for SUNDAY JUNE 9th:
First off, the forecast for race time (4pm) on Sunday, June 9th is for 84 degrees and partly cloudy with a south breeze at 7mph...in other words, stellar racing conditions!
$750/win & $150/start for RaceSaver Sprint Cars!
$1000/win and $100/start for USRA Modifieds! (USRA points race as well)
$750/win Limited Modifieds, $500/win Street Stocks, $400/win Factory Stocks (LoneStar legal FS are OK for this race)
NO ENTRY FEE in ANY DIVISION!
ADULT GRANDSTAND TICKETS JUST $12! Kids 6-12 are $5; and Ages 5 or under are free with adult admission.
Full RPM points race in all divisions.
There
is no driver registration fee for this event only. So if you are new to
RPM, you can race without paying a registration fee.
PIT GATE OPENS at 1pm
GRANDSTANDS OPEN at 2pm
MANDATORY* WHEEL PACKING 3pm (ALL CARS, ALL CLASSES)
DRAW CUT OFF & HOT LAPS at 3:30pm SHARP (All classes will draw for heat starting positions)
FIRST GREEN FLAG is at 4pm SHARP
REGULAR
GRANDSTANDTICKET PRICES ($12 for adults) and pit passes ($30 for all
ages) are in effect, with no driver entry fees in any division. Kids
6-12 are $5, and ages 5 and under are free with adult purchase.
*Mandatory
Wheel Packing from 3-3:30 for all cars in all classes. If your car does
not wheel pack by 3:30 (at the time of the draw cutoff), you will start
your heat race at the tail of the field and there are no passing points
for those drivers. This applies to all drivers in all race divisions.
