To the promotors and track crew. You guys need to figure it out. The last three races the tracks have been horrible. Petaluma was narrow could have had two lanes but you guys didnt make the cars back down the gunk up top and as for Marysville and Chico WOW! I dont think you can get any dryer. The racers and fans deserve more for the hard earned money than follow the leader. Just my opinion.

I was at the Marysville race and I do agree that the track was way too dry and provided for racing that wasn't very exciting for the drivers and the fans! Marsyville is usually a 2 groove track with good racing! I don't know too much about track prep, but that I know to make a great track takes long of hours of prepping it. Ironically after the race at Marysville I saw the water track watering the track and I thought "it's a little too late now!"I haven't been back to Chico since the Mini Gold Cup last year and just don't have much desire to go there lately even though I don't live too far away. We did go to the KWS race a few weeks ago at Petaluma and they put on a good show with plenty of passing, so maybe it was just an off week when the Civil War came there. Also Fernley was a one groove race track, but it could be a really wide race track if it wasn't for the windy weather that weekend!

Placerville and Antioch have been my favorite tracks lately and provide for good racing on most nights! Tulare is also a track that usually has 2 to 3 grooves!

Looking forward to the new Golden State King of the
West series schedule!

Marysville was a horrible dust bowl and a joke of a race. The promoter admitted (on another message board) to taking the blame, he wanted to the track to come in sooner than it had been the past few races, which is an issue at that track, but with only Sprint Cars running and no support series to draw the moisture back up, it was a nightmare 1 groove track, and pretty dusty. The officiating was just as bad by allowing a blatant jump on the start of the race to not be called back. Chico, on the other hand, was not a bad track come main event time. The heat races were dusty, but i think it resulted to a good main event track. It has a top and bottom in 3 & 4, 1 & 2 was around the bottom, but it never too rubber, and provided for some pretty entertaining racing. Golobic went from 7th to 3rd, Sanders game from 18th to 4th and Tiner from 16th to 9th. Chico does not deserve to be lumped into the same criticism as Marysville, IMO. Congrats to Mason Moore on the victory last night.

Rob, its not the temp so much as the wind. we cruised the track at 3 and it looked a little too wet so we just gave it a spray around the top. I got busy with other stuff and diddnt get back out there till 5 and a 20 mph wind had come up. I tried putting a couple quick sprays on but it was too late. we had been watering up wed, thurs, friday and all day sat. the water was there the track just sealed and we had no stock cars to cut it. before the cmain it looked like 3&4 were coming back but the damn wind wouldnt die. Marysville doesn't take rubber and it was compacted too tight to build a cushion therefore the track was dusty shit. thats not the product we normally putout, and if the weather forcast had that wind or I was paying attention to the track in the 5pm area we could have saved it. after that there wasnt much that would help. by the way, we water after the races so we have a wet track to grade and compact sunday morning.....paul
