There were plenty of Penguins fans in the stands Friday night--even a couple wearing Pens sweaters. And that WAS the only game being played at the time.

This Penguin fan appreciated the updates especially since the FLYERS fans were obviously doing something else with their time besides watching playoff hockey. ) THANKS Johnny. I never can get updates on my phone at the Grove for some odd reason.

I like the updates no matter who is playing or where. If there is broadcast time use it! Some people are wondering how their teams are doing! I do believe Johnny gives updates all across the country to who might be in the playoffs in the area.

Geography has very little to do with it. I live about 70 miles north of Columbus, and while I wish the blue jackets all the best, I'd want to hear the pens score as well.

I'm pretty sure he does it because he himself is a big Penguins fan, if you follow him on Twitter he's been talking about the Penguins all throughout the playoffs.
I hope this was more of a jab at Johnny and not really serious

Relax Flyer fans, he did it a couple weeks ago at Eldora when 3 or 4 games were being played and gave us updates to each game. As Johnny said, it was the only game going on at the time on Friday. And I highly doubt that Johnny of all people would take shots at fans.

I would like to think a true FLYERS fan would at least be able to spell FLYERS right! And like was mentioned before they are all playing golf now so updates on them don't really matter.

I would guess that Johnny is a Pens fan and besides what does it hurt?(unless you're taping the game) . With the Flyers sucking and not making the playoffs, I'm pulling for the Blackhawks.

Yes--I'm a HUGE Penguins fan. But I do give updates on other games as well, especially if we're racing in an area that has active teams. (I'll also give football and baseball scores as well once in a while, again usually based on where we're racing.) As for tonight, it was still 0-0 when we were pushing off the A-main, and once that was done we went right into the Sportsman A. And I'd give Flyers scores too, but seems none of them turned in their scorecards at the pro shop this week. (I've given Flyers scores during the playoffs as well. . .)

I'm not a hockey fan at all, but I remember thinking how nice it was to be watching a sprint car race (which I am a hugh fan) and getting updates about the hockey game. You rock Johnny Gibson.

Actually, he is obligated to report the scores since the sale.
Maybe you missed it but the NHL bought out the WRG.
Shortly, cars will be running studded tires and they will race on ice circuits. All races will be north of the border.
