He was very fast in his heat and I was hoping he'd put on a show in the feature, just never really got going then.

The only show was Schatz, other than that, was there any significant passing, enough to be considered a "show"? Kinser passed 11 cars, but did anyone notice him doing it? Most finished about where they started, including the 3 posse that finished ahead of Larson. Id say he performed about as good (or lackluster) as most others.

Remember he is in a new car with a new crew chief and has very few laps at these tracks under those circumstances with the level of the competition I wouldn't call an 11th and 15th lack luster

I gotta question what guys like Montieth, Schuchart, Layton, Smith Jr, Deitrich (provisional), Cannon, etc's excuses are. They are sitting on their own front porch with a million more laps there, yet couldn't finish better than 15th place? All were beaten by the washed up King, nonetheless.

Until you can do better than Larson, or ANY other driver in the field, your rants mean absolutely nothing.

I seriously doubt you could out race the last place car in last nights C Main...but you sure do talk a good game!

You are obviously one of the minority that lets the hype get under your skin, and therefore cant wait to start these types of threads. How petty to let ones success (a whole lot of success) bother you so much. You dont think this hype and people "shooting their mouths" on here might be in direct response to how posse fans slobber over their own turf victories over the years? Someone might suggest posse fans are responsible for the larson hype machine on here, others might suggest its the # of wins and climbing the ladder that garners the hype, i dunno.

Good old Steve needs to change his last name to Larson. Maybe then we would see more people saying positive things about him rather than always asking if he is washed up!.... Steve Larson ought to make him a star!

Maybe it is just that, the track, Most he has seen success on for the 1st time. Limaland not so good but he did beat Kahne & Stewart in the B. Cannonball, Waynesfield & another track during Speedweek he had never seen before & won. Waynesfield non wing along with Eldora, The rest that I know of were with the wing. He should have been good at Limaland though if he done good at Chico because I've had a few west coasters tell me that they really liked Limaland & it reminded them of Chico. Maybe it should be Kyle Kinser ?

Maybe they missed the setup.....I've had completely different results at the same track with the same car, same setup, but different drivers...getting to know the driver takes a little time, And Larson is not the type of guy that tells you what bars or shocks to run, he'll just drive it around in circles and then come back and tell you whether to tighten or loosen it...Give him some time to adjust and he'll embarrass you bad...

This is 100% correct. I sort of smile when I read these threads started by a Larson naysayer like Hamboner28. Its only a matter of time before Kyle literally makes them look like a fool. Whether certain people want to accept it or not, Kyle is the real deal no question about it. Some people are just too blind to want to accept the truth. He has proved himself over and over at places that matter far more than anything in PA ever will.
Cheers!

Well for one thing...big $$$$ sponsers....Schuchart ran the whole season last year on one motor. Dietrich, well he just beat everybody at Lincoln the night before. Again, a weekend warrior on a small budget but able to beat the big boys two years in a row.. You telling me that ALL the Calif guys beat Kinser when he;'s out west? Again, the only guy that can have an excuse for not doing well is...well we know who. Why can't you guys accept the fact that he can't win every race he enters. And when he doesn't win, well maybe the other guys were a little better that night!

Then why is Larson the only one who can be criticized (fairly or not) when he doesn't perform well, yet if someone outside of Pa questions a posse member(s) results, its an issue? I merely asked why these guys at their home track, with a ton more laps here, performed even worse? Seems like a double standard thats been around alot long than when larson ever showed up on the scenes. Also, I never tried to make any excuses for Larson's results, just pointed out that most driver finished +/-2 positions of where they started, except for schatz and kinser. Your right, there were 10 out of 43 guys better then he was last night, only 3 of them were posse.

I agree...I like to read most of the banter back and forth, most of it is in good natured ribbing. But some of the negativity on here gets to be ridiculous.

Larson hasn't been nearly as good in sprintcars since moving to nascrap...

That said, I think all cali guys struggle on half mile dry slick tracks because they never see that in cali.

The outlaws always purposely make the tracks dry slick to give advantage to outlaws who are used to that surface. To be fair, that surface does make for the best racing and least torn up equipment, even though lap times are a lot slower. It is the most exciting racing as was shown last night at the grove.
