Knoxville, hands down. Any Saturday night, three classes of sprinters, 85 or more cars, no support class taxis, not even considering the Nats, the best race night anywhere.
My wife told me if I went to one more Sprint Car race
she would leave me.................I'm sure gonna miss
that ol' gal.

Lucas Oil Speedway for the ASCS National show. It's a great facility for the fans, a big, racy track, and great, reasonably priced concessions.

While I love going to watch the racing at Knoxville, the best sprint car races that I have ever seen have occurred at Pevely, MO (WoO show a few years ago) and Lake Ozark, MO (ASCS National event) about 3 summers ago. Both of these 2 events featured at least 2 and 3 wide racing throughout the entire features and it was physically impossible to watch all of the action. With that being said, I have seen some very ordinary sprint car races at those 2 tracks at other times, while Knoxville provides more consistent racing. The best racing of the year at Knoxville, is the Late Model Nationals at the end of the year. It is superb racing.

Limaland WoO Doty classic. Best race every year. I get to about 40-50 shows a year and that is always the best. Might be a far drive, but it's worth it. You can go to Eldora after (If you are into no passing 1/2 miles, but hey, it's Eldora)

Knoxville is by far the best, but if you are wanting to check out other tracks, 34 Raceway in West Burlington, is hosting a World of Outlaws show. They also host a MOWA show and some Sprint Invaders. High bank 3/8.
Lee County Speedway in Donnellson has some sprint specials and is worth checking out. I would call it a moderately banked 3/8.
Couple tracks to check out a short drive out of Iowa. Beaver Dam, WI for an outlaw show! Fun track, paper clip shape 1/3 mile. Bring goggles!
LaSalle Speedway, LaSalle, IL. Fun track 1/4 mile bull ring elbows up racing. Bleachers suck though.
And one of the funnest places ever to watch sprints is Spoon River Speedway near Canton, IL. Super high banked 3/8. The Tom Knowles Memorial in September is a good show where they have sprints and midgets.

Kokomo Speedway. 3 and 4 wide racing is a weekly thing most nights, and occasionally they will be 5 wide as Danny Burton noted in his column a couple weeks ago.

River Cities Speedway for an Outlaw show. I was there 2 years ago for the 2 day show, I was so impressed that this is by far my favorite track to get to. Im more that willing to drive the 12 hours to get there again.

... I have never seen a bad show @ Gas City & most are very good
... best races in my opinion are the ones with a pass(s) for the lead in the last 5 laps

I still say the Knoxville Nationals when Lasoski got his first Nationals finale win and Sammy - again - did not get his second :-).

The best shows I've seen a track put on consistently has got to be at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks ND. Now I haven't been to a large amount of other tracks by any means, but I've been to every year they've been in GF and they've always been good racing. Prior to GF, Fargo always had the Outlaw shows and you could really get a mixed bag on that big old 1/2 mile, I saw alot of good races but there was plenty of nights that you'd get follow the leader races as well.
I will say that as far as facilities go, Elko last Friday was very impressive, very nice place, hopefully they decide to start keeping the dirt on longer and having more touring shows. I bet Johnny's bright white pants were even clean at the end of the night!

Saw a great nonwing show at Oskaloosa a few years ago. In a heat race Kevin Swindell was in fourth place coming off of 4 and won the race. Wow!! Then in the A, Jesse Hockett and Dave Darland drove the wheels off for the whole race and Hockett won. He parked it on the front straight and Darland parked his behind him, jumped out and ran up to him a gave him a big shake and a hug for a beautiful race. All for the fans.

So what part of this made you happier? Lasoski winning or Sammy not winning? Just curious.

Best race ever for me? Knoxville when Schatz and Sammy swapped slide job after slide job until Sammy blew his left rear. It was nice to see Tim Shaffer win it after all that.

The 50th. Before the race Janet Holbrook, Shaffer's car owner, stated that her driver was going to win it and when he did she would walk into Dingus's and hand them a $5,000 check for drinks on the house. She made good on her pledge.
