Myerstown, PA – Brent Marks is ready. With the best Sprint Car racers on the planet due in town this week, Brent and his Brent Marks Racing team are entering on a high note following a win this past Saturday night at Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, PA. The win was Brent's third of 2013 aboard the BAPS sponsored Triple X powered by Rider. "We really needed that win", said Brent in victory lane. "My guys have stood behind me and keep giving me good cars". Marks led every lap of Saturday night's main event from his outside pole position. The night was contested under the World of Outlaw format in preparation for Wednesday evenings WoO event, giving drivers the opportunity to get laps under their belt while running under a different format. After qualifying 9th fastest, Brent would go on to win his astounding 8th straight heat race at Lincoln, which locked him into a spot in the dash. During the dash, Brent experimented with his lines around the track, finding the car working the best outside as the bottom groove had retained lots of moisture from rain showers that had passed early in the afternoon. Armed with this knowledge, Marks parlayed his outside pole position spot into the early lead during the feature, then held off PA Posse veterans Brian Montieth and Stevie Smith en route to the win.
BMR is sponsored by BAPS, Memtec Services, Glenna Straley Hair Designs and the Fredericksburg Eagle Hotel amongst many other sponsors. Follow his weekly racing updates online at:
