Rod End Supply title sponsor of Winged 360 Power Rankings

By Lonnie Wheatley (Tulsa, OK) — Rod End Supply has signed on as title sponsor of the Winged 360 Sprint Car Power Rankings, one of the primary divisions of the Open Wheel Power Rankings released each week at http://www.racinboys.com/ .

Part of “The Wheatley Collection” series of articles on Racinboys, the Open Wheel Power Rankings are determined by cumulative points based on a sliding scale dependent upon car count at Sprint Car and Midget events across all sanctions and non-sanctions throughout North America.

In addition to the Rod End Supply Winged 360 Power Rankings, other divisions include Winged 410’s, Non-Wing 410’s, Non-Wing 360’s, Midgets and 305’s. After holding down the top spot since April 2, Jason Johnson was replaced at the top of the charts in the Rod End Supply Winged 360 Sprint Car Power Rankings this week by Albuquerque’s Johnny Herrera.

While Johnson took the weekend off in anticipation of the birth of son Jax that arrived Wednesday night, Herrera picked off his first win of the year on Friday night at Beaumont, TX, to run his total of overall top-fives to eight and top-tens to 12. Only Seth Bergman, ranked third, matches Herrera in the top-five column with Herrera’s dozen top-tens atop the charts with fourth-ranked Logan Forler next at 11.

With the first 111 of more than 800 overall scheduled events that will award points, the current top ten in Rod End Supply Winged 360 Sprint Car Power Rankings are as follows with feature wins in parentheses: 1. Johnny Herrera (1) 186, 2. Jason Johnson (5) 160, 3. Seth Bergman (3) 150, 4. Logan Forler (4) 136, 5. Ray Allen Kulhanek (1) 124, 6. Justin Sanders (1) 109, 7. Roger Crockett (4) 101, 8. Brian Brown (3) 100, 9. Tim Crawley 95, 10. Tony Bruce, Jr. (1) 93.

Another two dozen winged 360 Sprint Car events are on tap for the coming weekend. Following is a listing of the weekend’s scheduled events that will award points towards the Rod End Supply Winged 360 Sprint Car Power Rankings.
