THIS JUST IN!!!--BRIAN FRANCE'S WIFE LIKED TO SPEND MONEY!!! Holy crap--what an unfortunate bastard! All those years of self-building an estimated $1 billion fortune only to have a woman take 1/2 and leave you with a measly $500 million to fend for yourself? I am so happy that the rest of us don't have to deal with females who like to spend out dough. Lucky for me, I am worth $5 billion, so i could probably squeak by if my wife went on a spending spree.
I will be starting a charity organization to accept funds to help Mr. France get back on his feet. I would hate the thought of future France family members having to go out and realize what it's like to start with little or nothing.

I guess this is his ex wife's way of fining him for action detremental to Nascar. This is now his second divorce with the same woman. I wonder if third time is a charm?? Another spoiled rich kid whose grandparents and parents worked their butts off to make a good living for them whinning and crying. Life just isn't fair sometimes.

second divorce from the same woman? so if she took him for half the first time and waited for him to build his fortune back up and then remarry and then take him for half again. sounds like a fool to me!

Let's be fair to the (obviously) poor woman.....she didn't get half of his estimated $1,000,000,000 net worth.
She got $9,000,000 up front plus $32,000/month alimony for 10 years and $10,000/month child support until the kids turn 18 in 2024. That's just shy of $15,000,000.
And she is still complaining!

Yeah both of them are obviously struggling to make a living. Both complaining about this sum is kinda sickening seeings how they have spent more money in one year alone than all of us probably will ever see across our entire lives. The bad part about this though is that now he is going to try to figure out a way to make up this loss which means making changes to the cars or something again and yet again making the racing more unbearable to watch.

Thirty years later on Tuesday, I love the woman to whom I related by marriage more than I could have ever imagined...

I agree that he should have never married her again after being screwed the first time. But I guess he has enough money to take that kind of hit. But still, I don't understand why any man would want to get married these days in the US under such man hating divorce laws that screw them over. Can't say I blame men who make the choice to be single or leave to a non-anglo country to get married.

2 years ago, i worked with a guy that basically ran the marina for the france family plus a few other "personal" family responsibilities. brian france was the black sheep of the family and was getting in trouble and bailed out many times. lets just say that if he was a nascar racer, he would have never passed a piss test......he made tyler walker look like a saint.
