I have not heard a number recently. With that being said, ten to twelve years ago I heard around a million to do the whole season and do it right. I was told at that time to keep a top notch car out there with top equipment, it would cost around $1,000,000 for the full season. That does not count start up costs or anything as this was a team that was already established.

Not sure of the exact figure but I believe the term is "an assload".

Back in the early 1990`s someone ask sammy swindell this same question. You buy a hauler, your race cars, motors, etc would cost about a million five houdred thousand. So today number would be about 2,000,000. Then to race one year with the outlaws you can do it on 250,000 that is a shoes string budget. But the figure that most team are spending today is somewhere around the 750,000 to one million dollars number. Not cheat. I hope that answers your question.

Gives credence to the old saying; If you want to make a million in racing, you will have to start with two million.
