Well, the 7 degrees of motor incline might be one of the first things I would correct......

I think 7 degrees was an option you had to request

If you request anything it would be 2 degrees.... I'm guessing if it was 7 then the jig was wrong

Help me out here, but why would you want 2 degrees or 4 degrees or 7 degrees of motor incline??? And does that mean the front of the engine if higher than the rear or vise versa?

Engine options are not at 7 degrees. That is completely false. Build sheets for eagle offer 1,2,and 3 degree options. 1 degree is usually the standard however if you choose more than the front of the engine is approximately 5/8 inch higher per degree. Shims are available for moving the engine in 1 degree increments which gives options to adjust to the drivers preferences. In the pursuit of making better, faster cars, their may be a learning curve for some but I am completely confident in my Eagle and we won the 4th night out with it.

Sammy's EAGLE was blistering fast at Salina, OK. I'm hearing there may be an issue with the Hoosier tires, not sure.

Tire stagger might be problem with tight cars running on shorter tacky tracks. Hoosier no longer makes a 90 inch tire. I think 94 and 92 inch is all that is available for wing cars. I do not know why. The tires vary some for measurement. I do not know how to set cars up for small tacky tracks if you only have 10-13 inches of stagger.

When we ran Stockton,Chico and Merced in March we had no problem getting 15" to 16" inches of stagger, the right rears were rolling out between 105.5" to 106" and the left rear 92" were rolling out at 90.5" to 91.5"depending on the chalk mark that you got. We also bought a 90" and a 96" inch left rears from the Hoosier dealer up there that were Outlaw legal tires. So I don't think getting enough stagger is a problem.

I thought your buddy's issues were with Good Year tires? Of course we are talking about someone who has more issues than any therapist on earth could identify and / or resolve.

The Slammer was much faster in his Maxim on them junk Goodyears last year than he is this year. Last year he had the most quick times by a wide margin as well as the most feature wins. So far this year he has zero quick times and only one win which was aided by Larson cutting a tire while having the field covered. Something's definitely not to his liking.

Its amazing how good some people are with things that they just despize, but when you have a company giving you things; I guess you would kiss their ass to get them back! When they come back as tire of choice you are a shoe in for a tire deal. The problem is with goodyear it is a natural based rubber and when you abuse it, it will bite you. I would like to see goodyear bring out a tire that they want to design to compete as an open tire. I told our driver that was in love with hoosiers to let me decide what tire we run for the first part of the night and if he didn't like we could change back. We ended up blowing away the one lap track record and 5 out of the top 6 had good years on. So go figure what you want I still think goodyear has a better tire. They were told to make a tire to a certain spec and got bad raves because they were giving the tracks money and not the racers! So to all I hope they enjoy their rubbered up around the bottom race tracks with their oil based hoosier tire! Lets see hoosier make a natural rubber tire and see how fast it is!!!!!

What's all the fuss? Just buy a XXX, save some money, support the world economy and when you have any issues, just call China.

Ha. Now that's funny right there. Some guy defending Speedway/Eagle by diverting the thread to making parts in China ... which Speedway is the king of. Guess he doesn't know were the Swindell Series is really made.
