It was awesome seeing Sheldon move up through the field and his dad right behind him while he did it, almost like they were drafting. He had an awesome restart where he went from 5th to second in one straightaway with a whole section of the grand stand screaming as he did it. Very nice kid, hopefully he gets a win on the outlaw circuit soon.

I have been worried for awhile when the old guard moves on, if I would still love WoO racing. It looks like I have a new favorite, Sheldon Haudenschild!!! I willbe at the Big E tomorrow to check it out for myself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Driving home last night from Eldora I kept thinking we are seeing the changing of the guard Sheldon Haudenschild was spectacular and more than a few times breath taking running 1/4" from the fence. Schatz was impressive, Brian Brown ran well, Brad Sweet looked fast early. Sammy had a rough night and left the track very frustrated. Steve Kinser looks lost, it's hard to watch my hero struggle like this.

Nowadays we hope that the young up and coming Sprint Car drivers are good but not so good that NASCAR snatches them up.
