As you may have read on here, the "First Lady of West Coast Sprint Car Racing," Evelyn Pratt, is moving to Texas to be closer to her family. However, before she leaves, she wanted to see "Her Boys." So, she is coming to "The Southern California Home of Major League Sprint Car Racing," Perris Auto Speedway, this Saturday night! If you are in the pits, be sure to say "Hello" and if you are in the stands, I am sure we will have an opportunity for you to salute Evelyn as well. It is going to be great to have Evy back at The PAS!

Wow, two great female spring car representatives at Perris at the same time. Just sorry it's nearly 400 miles from Tucson to Perris. Hope everyone has a great evening and really enjoys the 410s!
I will always remember Evelyn's voice reaching Turn One at Ascot as she got "her boys" lined up for wheel packing, qualifying, heat races, or whatever. She's definitely the Grand Dame of Southern California sprint car racing.
So glad she's able to make a Perris visit before relocating to Texas. I wish her well in Texas

I have told this experience with Evelyn many times at tracks here in Indiana. Seeing this post i have to tell it again. Back in 2006 Chad Boespflug was in an accident at Perris and came to the work area, for repairs during the yellow. It was discovered we had a broken RR shock so i sent one of the pit crew rushing to the trailer for a replacement on the quad. He came rushing back and he had a front shock so i sent him back for the correct one. He came rushing back and we mounted the shock and sent Chad back on to the track. Great job and we returned to the trailer. On the way back Evelyn came up to me and in her suttle voice exclaimed i owed a $100 fine !! I said what for ? "For that quad speeding in the pits" ! I said Evelyn, OK but thats only a $25 dollar fine how did you get $100 ? She stated " he speeded to the trailer, then back to the work area , then back to the trailer then back to the work area, thats four speeding violations"!!!! I PAID THE FINE.

Great news! Evelyn has been such a presence in Southern California Sprint Car Racing for as long as I can remember. What a neat way to have a going away party!
So glad to hear that Laurie might make the trip to Perris as well. Having the opportunity to do a live phone interview with this amazing woman was the highlight of my night at Orange Show Stadium last Saturday night!
