The greatest triumphs come after the biggest adversity. For Brian Montieth and the Premier Auto Works team, the last two weeks have been highly adverse, if not worse. "We've been running like crap for the last couple weeks", said Montieth in a frank moment. Which made this weekend's victory at Lincoln Speedway all that much more sweet. With the World of Outlaws due in town in just a few short weeks, Montieth and the team have been working through a spat of horrible luck while fine tuning their setups for the big weekend to come. In the midst of their testing and tuning, the team has made progress, as Brian took his Rider powered Triple X from 9th to the lead on lap 17. After taking the lead, "The Edge" was the class of the field, blasting forward to take the win by a 1.5 second margin of victory over Adam Wilt and Fred Rahmer. "Couldn't be more pleased with this car and the boys, we needed this win" Brian said after winning his second main of the year. Despite the recent struggles, Montieth sits third in the Central PA Points Series behind Rahmer in the Rob Sell Ott powered Triple X and Brent Marks in his family owned Rider powered Triple X.

Have to agree.
Sometimes I think I'm the only one at the Grove on Fridays who doesn't want to see him win...

The sport is much better with a villain and Montieth fits the bill for me...

None of these guys are villains to me. They're risking their lives for our entertainment. I'm pretty new to this but started rooting for Fast Freddy after I saw some jerks cheer when he wrecked at Port a couple of years ago.
I'll probably root against Schatz at Nationals cause I'd like to see someone else win but that doesn't make him a villain or decrease my respect for him at all. He's a terrific driver. I don't care at all if he's unfriendly in the pits; I like watching him race & don't expect to be his buddy. I don't want to see ANYONE injured

I was once a fan of his but started to not like him in the middle of last year. He puts on a show but it seems the only place he can get anything done is Lincoln and that's only because he can hold enough fuel to make it the 25 laps

Sorry, but one decent race in a couple of weeks & he's now superman! He is good, has matured alot, but really, he doesn't walk on water like some would like to think. It's absolutely impossible to have an objective conversation about the 21 with folks on WG msg board - his obnoxious fans make it impossible & they are what started to turn me off to Brian to begin with. His so called "dominace" "class of the field" is because he really only races one track. There seems to be no passion from him at all at WG, or if he ventures elsewhere. Personally, it looks to me like Brian & team need some new challenges from racing, something to spark the passion again.
