Well... the video does seem to suggest (pretty strongly, I'd say) that Damion HAD in fact passed Mikey before they got to the S/F line on the lap =before= the spin that brought on the yellow. ...... =Very= nice job on the camera work, as well as the editing, Jeff. ...... And I agree with several comments I have heard about the "clay" at OSS. It was pretty obviously "rooster tail city" there Saturday, much as it was on the old quarter mile at Perris for two years before the Kazarians took the lease and extended the track to 4/10ths of a mile with a much better composition. Can the problem be solved with more water... or is the composition at OSS too light on clay? It's not that huge a problem to get the right stuff and work it in if the budget is there for it. (Ray & Bubby would know what to do, for sure.)

Before this starts of spinning outta control , We should let Scotty & crew have some time to work the kinks out , It takes a lotta guts in this economy & in a bankrupt town (San Berdoo) to roll out a new racing series & promoting 2 tracks

Well the yellow did come out before the leaders ,,,,, Made it back to the start finish line. ,,, witch puts the field back to where it was the lap before the yellow ,,,,,, except for the cars that were involved in the cause of bring out the yellow. ,,,,, But now the track surface only has two foot of clay ,,,, on top of the old asphalt. ,,,,,, Its gonna take another two foot of clay to hold the moisture. ,,,,,, With only the two foot of clay on it now ,,,,,, it Does not stand a chance of staying damp . ,,,,, sitting in the hot sun. ,,,,, wind,,,,,,,,, all day long. ,,,,, the asphalt is just going to push up the heat all day long. ,,,,, Evan with another two foot of clay added to the two foot that is already there. ,,,,,, I think the track will always have its issues. ,,,, Its going to take a lot of WATER. ,,,,,,,,,, Speaking of water. ,,,,,,, STAY THIRSTY MY FRIENDS. !!!!!!!!. thanks for the great video recap and thank you SB for putting these races on. One thing about dirt track racing is it isn't supposed to be perfect and certainly not the same every night. That's exactly why racing is always better on dirt than asphalt..

It's not a total waste of dirt mix. OSS right now would be a World Class Speedway track right now ! !.....

Okay here we go.....1.when the yellow comes out in a sprint car race we revert back to the last COMPLETED lap(all cars)...this is not new or a rule we will change. Some times it works for you and some times it works against you. 2. I could have taken a chance on floating the clay off that surface and watered the s!?$t out of it and got someone hurt....I care about the drivers and the car owners equipment . 3. We also blew a water pump hose on the water truck in the blistering heat of the day(3 1/2 hours down). 4. We will sneek up on this. 4. I have run all over this country in a non wing 410 sprinter and have seen significantly worse track conditions at tracks that are considered premier tracks that have been running for 20 years in the Midwest. Sorry but perfect track conditions aren't always the best for the racing or helping our drivers return to the top of the podium on the national scene on their turf. We are working without an instruction manual here as far as putting clay on ashfalt and we will continue to work on it. I am very proud of what we have accomplished and our crew feels the same way. We worked around the clock to pull this off while groups of people sat at home and told the world it wasn't gonna happen......yah we read that stuff and as usual we used it as motivation to keep fighting. Please keep in perspective what was done here. No red flags, great racing especially in heats, and the best drivers and teams in the west. Thank You all for the support and the passion for the sport we love......oh yah...after last week I am very thirsty!....OOOPPPPSSS ...off to Route 66 Motorplex for more track work and racing! Scotty

Scotty keep up the hard work. I was not there, however from the video the track did not look all that bad and looked quite racy. Scotty is right on with tracks back east are more times than not in worse shape than OSS was Saturday night. Eldora can get very dusty to the point you can barely make out the cars. Tacky tracks are nice for dust control but usually provide the worst racing action and are very hard on equipment. I have not seen many tacky/watered down tracks in California produce good racing. Normally they are bad fast but produce single file follow the leader racing and it is even worse on the smaller tracks like OSS when tacky.

Haha! Im not the only one with the speedway bikes in mind for that track. Id love to see it.

Scotty, thanks for having me out, I had a great time. I got there early enough to see just how hard you and your whole team was working on Saturday to get the show started on time. I can only imagine how crazy it had been leading up to that.
