Logan Schuchart QT in the #29 beef mobile. 15.34 NTR. Tim shaffer 2nd quick. Larson was back pretty far. Not confirmed but I think his engine went south at the checker in time trials

Schuchart the quick timer missed the dash by one spot. Larson finishes 8th in heat one. Buckwalter wins by a decent margin. Henderson was 2nd in the Rick Ferkel #0. Track is fast

So you say the track is fast. Has there been a pass for the lead or is it follow the leader ?

I'm still used to thinking of The Hammer as a Lincoln driver.
Good to see him picking up wins at Port in the 98.

Kyle just touched the inside barrier with his left front entering the third turn. Took a long slow easy spin into turn four. He passed many cars in the "A" with a great move low in turn 3 then sliding up high in four. Just entered three a little too close and clipped the barrier.
Say what you want, the kid can drive anything with four wheels. Quite a talent.

That was some real good racing for the lead the first 11 laps between Esh, Sweet, & Shaffer. If that would have gone non-stop and in traffic, fans would have seen one of the best races of their lives I think. Once Esh got into the lead and then the cautions and red, then it was pretty much over. Esh was in a class by himself. Watching Larson was worth the price of admission in the feature until he spun. Very possibly would have been top five if he doesn't spin and that was coming from the rear. Of course, watching the Wild Child is always a treat.
Was great seeing the Weikert #29 on the track again! Miss the days of practically assuming it was going to be at Port on Saturday night and the Grove Friday night unless of course it was chasing the big money somewhere else. My 20 year old Kauffman/Weikert t-shirt now has KK's signature on the front and Scruffy Allen's on the back!

Can't remember enjoying an All Star show in PA more. Had a big event feel the whole night. Esh was the class of the field, Larson showed great improvement as the night went on, and would have ended up 4th or 5th had he not spun. Excellent night of racing.

This. It felt like the WoO were in town. The atmosphere was great and hopefully it can be like that for other All-Star shows in the future. Esh's lap 9 move around the outside of Sweet and diving under Shaffer was jaw-dropping. Fans were rooting for Larson all night and rightfully so. Damn, he was fast. Tough break for TK, twice.

Smitty was hammered, BRR was indifferent, 1080 was a no show...I had the time of my life reinventing the infield viewing experience on my perch in turn three...Good night even with the exception of the crying about the Lincoln Boyz...
Opinions may vary...

Almost forgot...The WTF moment of the night has to be the lack of handicap restrooms in the infield...
WTF, we have laws in this country regarding such matters... :/
Opinions may vary...

As for the handicap restrooms. Do they still have handicap parking in the infield? Few track ever had it. My Dad used to park there but I havn't noticed if they still have it. If they do they should have a handicap restroom there, if not then the handicap veiwing area is the grandstand and they have them there so provisions are made for the handicapped.
