Attention all racers...

The Orange Show Stadium does require mufflers on all cars in competition. Any make of muffler is acceptable, but inserts only are not allowed. We further request that the exhaust exit upward or outward, not down.

Thank you!

See ya at the races...

im curious , what is the reason you want the exhaust pointing out or up and not down . i have always pointed my turndowns to the ground . there is an issue as to when an engine is at running temp and 1 or more cylinders are not getting enough air at idle , we get flames out the exhaust . where these flames go determines whether something catches fire or not . one thing we do know is that the track cant catch fire when our exhaust hits it .

I think the concern is how fast the track dries out.

there are many variables as to how a track dries out . the 3 main variables are track prep , which covers many things , the biggest being compaction and water content , outside temperature , and the other is spinning tires on the track surface . every time i go to the track i see the tire line as it comes and goes , its called the groove . i have yet to see a heat line in a track caused from exhaust . everybody races on the same track , if you want a heavy track , its up to the people doing the prep ,and the weather . i hope these guys are on the cutting edge of technology and will show us all there is a better way to do things . i hope no one sees my posts as being against anything , or negative , i am all for what these guys are doing .

So they don't catch the straw on fire that's under the dirt.
We need more sprint car racing at our home track.

You could really mess with their heads with a bit of copper plating.
