Sprint Car Racing Comes BACK to Amarillo for 2013!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Midwest City, Oklahoma – April 24, 2013 - Sprint car racing is back at Route 66 Motor Speedway in Amarillo, Texas for the 2013 race season. After several years absence officials have decided to make the "winged warriors" a fixture with their very successful weekly program. However, the sprints will run on a bi-weekly basis.

Utilizing ASCS 305-ci rules for the division, the sprints will be part of the weekly race season opener on Saturday night, May 4^th. This race will pay $1000 to win and $100 to start the feature finale. There is a one-time registration of $20 and pit passes will be $30 per event.

Other nights the sprint car division will compete are: May 18^th, June 1^st, June 15^th, June 29^th, July 13^th, July 20^th, August 10^th, August 24^th, September 7^th and September 21^st.

Each and every Saturday night will see the tracks weekly divisions of modifieds, limited modifieds, street stocks, cyclones and ponies compete.

Pit gates open at 4:30 PM with grandstand gates opening at 6:00 PM. Race time is 7:00 PM.
