Wow, all of sixteen cars for this stellar event. Seems as though there were twelve entered at PIR for the inaugural race for the "new" Silver Crown cars in 2006. At the present rate, we might be able to enjoy a full starting field by 2010.

Yep, and the driver of one of those 16 was just released from jail after an arrest for heroin possession. I really doubt he's racing this weekend and the car is there for show. I think at this point USAC's bed is made and they can't go back until somebody other than them pulls the plug on this deal. What really has surprised me is that the PRA fields haven't been all that spectacular either. I was expecting to see 40-50 cars showing up but it just hasn't worked out that way.

Both Fikes show up in the results off the USAC website so I guess they both were there. Aaron was suspended by NASCAR but I guess USAC hasn't done anything about it.

Maybe i'm missing something, but i don't see Aaron Fikes name anywhere in the results. Just his brother A.J. who has been in that car all year.
