The ASCS has some good regions out there but they also have a few that are fairly week IMO. What region would you say needs the most help I would have to say the Southwest series.

I noticed after canceling the ASCS sanctioning race in Missouri LA RACEWAY had a car count of 25 then the Warrior region opener last night had 13 at Grain Valley. Knowing a lot of those guys don't travel up to US36 and there being 3-4 races up there this season its looking pretty grim overall. Granted you'll pick up a handful of cars from Nebraska up there. Seems like if they don't stay in central MO they are gonna hurt for car count.

Are we talking talent, schedule, or car counts?

6 at US 36 this year. One is the National tour and one is the Bud Shootout.

And if they don't get the Midwest guys in, they'll have a similar count as Valley had the other night. Anyone know why the Midwest isn't scheduled to be @ US 36 like previous years?

38 cars at the first midwest race this year. With the Nebraska 360 series car counts will be strong this year.

That was a sooner vs warrior region race, not Midwest.
I would rank the regions:
1) gulf south
2) sooner
3) northwest
4) Midwest
5) warrior
6) lonestar
7) southwest
305's are the herpes of sprint cars

and that was a heck of a good feild of cars also. Some years that midwest is full of studs. Brian Brown is at alot of the shows unless its against Knoxville (saturday night), Lasoski is in the 1M car so its there most of the time, Lee Groz, Jordan Bostan, Don Droud, Ryan Roberts, Dover. Lots of years its as good as there is I think.

I'd be willing to bet the reason the Midwest isnt involved at US36 would have something to do with Chuck Z's (not gonna butcher up his last name) involvement at Knoxville. That's a lot of traveling on a weekend for him. Notice the Midwest isnt competing against Knoxville at all. Granted most of US36's races seem to be on Friday nights. Id be willing to bet the National race will still have a decent car count.... the other 5 are pretty questionable. Although I'll still probably catch the majority of them along with the Powri Midget show.

That field was stacked. Kyle Sauder, Darrin Long, Lucas Wolfe, Clint Garner, Gregg Bakker, The Dude, Davey Heskin. It was a great show!!
