Did you catch Winged Nation on Tuesday? If not here is a link: http://www.motorracingnetwork.com/Media-Center/MRN-Show-Archives/Winged-Nation.aspx
The Rahmer Rule: Fred stated that he would not allow his sons to race sprint cars on a track with a person who has a history of drug problems, without some sort of testing or verification that the driver is "clean".
Simple survey here: I would like one word answers only and there are only two options on those words: yes or no. This is a survey, not a debate post.
Would you allow your son or daugther to drive a sprint car on a track with a driver who has a past history of drug use without some form of verification/testing that the driver is clean?
Yes or No are the options.

I'll take it one step farther. As a fan I plan on boycotting any race in PA where Tyler Walker races until he proves hes clean. I don't believe in across the board drug testing but there is a point where a person with KNOWN issues should need to prove he's clean. I'm hoping this doesn't prevent me from attending the Weikert or Gobrecht memorials but I'm prepaired to not attend those races if necessary.

I can't understand why car owners would give this guy a chance time after time. When you think he couldn't mess up any worse, he does. I would test him every race before, during and after each event.
Father Rahmer is right, Hell No would I let my kid on the same track as that guy!

NO! NO! NO!
& as a car owner, I would not allow my driver & car on the track with that person either!
Some people need to learn the difference between "taking a position" and being responsible!

If I had a conversation with the said individual before he strapped in and I knew he was 100% straight minded......Your 1 word answer would be - YES
Before anyone thinks I am defending Tyler Walker in the below I am not. I do not approve of him taking cops on a high speed chase through 3 states.
What a driver does on their own time is their own business...What he does before entering the track or while at the track is up to anyone that wants to question that driver. All track officials have access to each and every driver before they ever hit the track.
So ...If a driver drinks 20 beers after a Friday night win. The next afternoon he might be over the legal limit to drive on the roadways to get to the race track. Do you let him race? Does anyone know his condition? Do you test each driver before each race? Where does this end?.....?? With Pot being a legal medicine in many states now.....What do you do with that??

I think it's funny that somehow some of the same clowns that are against any rule to save teams big money are all for one that has drivers standing in line to piss in a cup to be able to race. If I were a promoter I would be paying him to come race simply because he will put another 1000 butts in the seats because of all the hype. He's on probation. He will be piss tested plenty. Let him race. Coke head rich kids have been driving sprint cars since there were sprint cars. There are way less now than there have ever been.

Delete two zeros and I think "your line" will be far more accurate!

At a track like the Grove? I haven't heard an outcry like this in a long time. The place would be packed. They ought to have the same chick security guard he got in a fight with guarding his pits as well...lol. That's how the WWE would handle it...lol.

LOL...dream on...at this rate, walker can't even put himself in the seat of an airplane and get himself to the track.

NO!! I have to drug/alcohol test on every job I go to along with getting randomly tested at anytime. My job carries a high risk of putting the safety and lives of fellow workers and the general public at risk the same way a race car driver does whenever he/she straps in a race car. So why in the heck would it be so wrong for a known person who has been caught multiple times in possession and or under the influence of illegal narcotics to be made to take a D/A test before being able to race??? Why would that be so wrong???

Yes......because of the simple fact that a drug test does not confirm when said drugs were taken. Most drugs stay in your blood for days or weeks. Now if Any driver would look or act like they are on drugs in the pits by all means test him, but if not leave him alone. In Tyler's case yeah I'd have him tested if he passes leave him alone, because if he is clean he hasn't done anything for at least a few days or weeks. If he fails don't let him race for a month. If he comes back, is tested again ,and comes back clean then let him race. Then You know for sure if he did any drugs or not in a months time, because most drugs would be out of your system by then. With his history I would random him throughout the season never letting him know when one is coming. It's very hard to cheat one that way. If he really wants to race he will remain clean to do so. Like with some jobs your actions determine whether or not you need to be drug tested, and not everyone is subjected to one. I know you asked for a yes or no answer but this topic is hard for me to answer without some explanation as to why I answered the way I have.
